Great video.  I didn't know how complicated the setup was of the V2.

Nowotny shot down by Mustangs   jajajajajaja
poor slob - if the Mustangs didn't get him the 262 did .
It remains unclear whether Nowotny was killed due to engine failure or whether he was shot down by United States Army Air Forces (USAAF)Captain Ernest Fiebelkorn (20th Fighter Group) and 1st Lieutenant Edward "Buddy" Haydon (357th Fighter Group) east of Hesepe. In recent years, United States military historians proposed that Nowotny's victor may have been P-51D pilot Lieutenant Richard W. Stevens of the 364th Fighter Group. Many witnesses observed Nowotny's Me 262 A-1a Werk Nummer 110 400 (factory number) "White 8" dive vertically out of the clouds and crash at Epe, 2.5 kilometres (1.6 mi) east of Hesepe.[35][36] The Wehrmacht announced his death on 9 November 1944 in the dailyWehrmachtbericht.[37]

The difference between the fighter and fighter/bomber variants was small. For the fighter/bomber type, the lower nose guns were deleted and bomb shackles attached under the wngs. Since the 3cm MK108 fired its shells at extremely low velocity (540mps, rather than 900mps for the MK103) the Me262 needed all four cannon to assure a hit in any firing pass. In fact, Chuck Yeager, flying the P39 Aircobra (which had a Oldsmobile 37mm T9 cannon of similar performance [610mps] firing through the spinner) likened it to "lobbing grapefruit" at an enemy.

I’m surprised any V-2s got off the ground after watching that launch process.

ah the days of discussing German technological "prowess" and no need to mention the slave labor that produced these "marvels." How the US developed and built the atomic bombs, norden bomb sight, and the B-29 bomber without slave labor is one of the enduring mysteries of the war.

Engine life only 25 hours on 262 ,good old hitler interfering with everything , the allies thought about doing him in , but thought nah he’s single handedly losing the war for Germany

Given the logistical demands for transporting and handling the V2, it's little wonder the Germans lost the war. The material, transport, and labour of technicians to get it to launch statis were considerable. No wonder the allied fighter bomber pilots attacked the railway transport with gusto. The big bangs as warheads, liquid oxygen, and alcohol fuel that went up must have given allied pilots a real buzz.
