Thanks for helping me to feel better about Thanksgiving. Back in the 70s Polish jokes were popular. My dad had Polish heritage. So my dad told the family a joke about Jesus healing people but when he got to the person who was Polish Jesus knelt down and cried with him. My dad was the sweetest Christian man. My little sister went to our Catholic school and told her Polish teacher the joke. Good memory for a little kid. Yeah we all did stuff in the past we wouldn’t do now. My dad is waiting for me in heaven and probably telling dad jokes.

The pilgrims were refugees and asylum seekers. They shouldn't have had to wait for a Biden presidency to be allowed in.

I'm guessing that the "racist" things the Asian girl was talking about was the friends parents saying she is overly opinionated and wrong. I'd guess she was invited over and spent the whole time complaining and griping about things and telling them how wrong they were in their beliefs and when she left they gave their honest opinions about what kind of person she is. Had nothing to do with "race" but in her mind, any criticism of her is hatred toward her and Asians. That's really a sad belief system.

My family is so toxic and when I quit allowing them into my life, they began attacking my grown children. I haven’t been to their thanksgiving in 15 years and I couldn’t be happier. I have my husband, children, grandchildren, and my church family. God is good.

These young people are rather amazing to me. They have all been to dermatologist all their lives and have perfect skin, there teeth are all perfect, their hair is styled and highlighted. I joined family this year for Thanksgiving. One of those events/holidays that went better than before. At first, it was time I gave them. But their were emotions that I was afraid to share. Since the planned-demic, my views, politics, and my religion has changed.
