'Beef Rapp' is one of a dozen or so tracks in which MF (Metal Face) DOOM mentions the iconic mask he wore in all media and public appearances from the late 90s to his death in 2020.

MF DOOM concludes Vaudeville Villain with a piece in five parts, experimenting with tempo and cadence.

There is a long interlude of plain rainfall and thunder just after the introductory samples, lasting until about halfway through the track. The footsteps heard at the end of the storm perhaps signify MF DOOM entering the album that, up until “Change the Beat,” has been Viktor Vaughn’s narrative.

DOOM adopted the mask to signify his new supervillain-inspired identity following the death of his brother and the breakup of KMD, but he has also said the look was supposed to push back against MCs more focused on their ego than their sound. The mask covered DOOM's face so that people would listen to his "flows that's gorgeous" instead of trying to meet his eye.
