Unfortunately that is cut. Only some of the cuts were restored. Only the BBFC (British Board of Film Classification. UK equivalent to MPAA) cuts were restored but the MPAA cuts still remain and the gunfire to Alec's head was an MPAA cut.
ОтветитьShucks. Thanks for the info! Hopefully the clips will be shown one day
ОтветитьIf this movie would come out tommorow it would be totally able to blow all this Pacific Rim and other BS movies out of the water! Love it! My favourty Bond movie.
ОтветитьPacific Rim was great! May I remind you that while many movies today are BS indeed, some are decent or even good.
ОтветитьTop Three Bonds: (of course all were excellent, ALL! But these three stick out for ME)
1. Pierce Brosnan
2. Daniel Craig
3. Timothy Dalton
Damn. Bond got whooped. One too many martinis 007
ОтветитьSean Connery and Daniel Craig are miles better
ОтветитьMichael Fassbender would make a great 007, has all qualities for the role.
Ответитьi already knew the outcome of the fight because sean bean dies in every movie hes in. even when this movie came out in 1995 he had already died in 8 different movies....and in this movie he dies twice
ОтветитьThis fight is a fairly specific homage to From Russia With Love, the granddaddy of all good James Bond fights.
ОтветитьFor me, Brosnan was a great bond It's just after Goldeneye his movies got steadily more silly or not-interesting. I blame the script writers
ОтветитьPerhaps the most realistic fight scene I have ever seen in a movie.
ОтветитьThey cut out the headbutts on the British release. Dunno why
ОтветитьI consider this fight to be better than any of the Bourne movie fight scenes. Cos even though the camera work in this is really frenetic, there's NEVER a point where you can't tell what's happening. The camera moves around but it doesn't obscure any of the action with shakiness, every move the camera makes has purpose and gives more energy and impact to the blows exchanged.
The editing is absolutely flawless, it never cuts away just as a punch or kick makes impact, everything happens in camera.
love this fight. bond shouldn't always just win with ease. he totally lost this fist fight. and that's awesome. wish they'd carried on like this with the rest of brosnans films
Ответитьfor a western movie pre 2000 this is very good fight scene.
ОтветитьThe omission of any music was a GREAT idea for this scene. It would have ruined the gritty tension.
ОтветитьToo bad this copy is, like, 12 frames per second.
ОтветитьFinish the job, James - if you can.
Ответитьthe thing about this whole fight I think about Sean Bean never getting old these fights in every movie my man Pierce Brosnan put layed it down.
ОтветитьThe last great Bond film. And Sean Bean.
ОтветитьTwo enemies fighting each other former spy friends.
ОтветитьWhat's the point of this vid if u cut it half way
ОтветитьOne thing I really hate from previous Bond films... Bond received more punishment from Alec and not a single bruise
ОтветитьThis fight is SPECTACULAR. It's like Bond is fighting himself.
ОтветитьTo this day still, one of the best fight scenes I've ever seen. Hands down. The way they just throw hands and get down and dirty is just awesome. Even though I've seen it a bunch of times I can never stop from yelling "Ooooh! Ouch! Yikes! 😬😬😬" cuz the strikes look so REAL! I mean them headbutts though! OUCH! LOL! Love this fight scene! 😁😁😁
ОтветитьI think I have to address the fact that this fight makes Alec and James’ exhange have more definition to the villain of the story:
“Half of everything is luck, James.”
“And the other half?”
“Fate.”
These guys are evenly matched, so all James can really do is keep trying to survive until he gets lucky. And it may not just be this fight, the same thing happens with Xenia and when Bond finds a tank for him to drive. Hell, it may be a commentary on the Bond series as a whole.
Sean Bean’s Alec Trevelyen is almost like Bane beating the Shit out of Batman here. Just look at the way He Attacks, Punches and Kicks! And the moment Bond grabs the gun and Trevelyen just Pommels his Body! Just a Flawless Brutal Bond Fight and still remains the Best Fight Scene out of any Bond Film!
ОтветитьLMAO bond kept getting air stomped
ОтветитьOne of my favorite things about this fight is how dirty it is, both men are desperately trying to get to the gun and end it cause they know how evenly matched they are.
ОтветитьYou only die twice.
Ответитьthis is how i expect a proper fight to happen between skilled people. Dirty and fast but not jason bourne
Ответитьthe most bond fight of bond fight's. if i could fight like this and lose i wouldn't be ashamed.
ОтветитьJames Bond and Alec Trevelyan are both evenly matched opponents
ОтветитьGreat fight scene! Tense, natural sound... Minimal cuts. You can see their faces in it (I'm pretty sure they did most if not all of this scene themselves)
ОтветитьLove this scene. Rather than a high skill kung-fu fight, you get the feeling the 2 characters are just trying to pummel the other into submission.
ОтветитьTwo 00 Agents, Two equals fighting. Ahhh So good.
ОтветитьShould be hailed as one of the all time greatest movie fight scenes. I have a theory that this inspired the bathroom fight scene in MI: Fallout, (or rather, Goldeneye inspired a whole bunch of stuff in MI: Fallout). So many similar beats in those movies. Bathroom scene, fight scene, insane aerial stunt infiltration scene, anti bond character, anti bond gets half his face burned up, anti bond says “why won’t you just die”. You’ve got your stolen nuclear threat. Big old chase scene in the middle. Even got Vanessa Kirby expanding on the iconic Minnie Driver performance. Anti Bond falls to his death at the end n shit… Them dudes watched some Goldeneye.
ОтветитьWhat a brutal fight.
No music, no orchestra.
Just two MI6 agents beating the shit out of each other.
This fight was real!
ОтветитьCompare this to the Bourne or Taken movies the gap in quality is huge. Here you can actually see the action. Jackie Chan himself always said keep the camera steady as he wanted his fans to see everything. I think it was Roger Ebert who complained after seeing Battle: LA that it seems now a lot of directors think it’s really cool to not show action and make it a blurry mess.
ОтветитьI remember watching this as a kid and thinking, "Damn, they're REALLY trying to k-ll each other, aren't they?"' 👍🏾 Brilliant choreography and cinematography
Ответить
