Got Harley’s … sport bikes quads .. dirt bikes … and yes v maxx. It’s a heavy turd with horrible brakes and horrible suspension. I’d ride my Harley’s over my maxx any day.

I took a ride on my friend's 1985 VMax and getting on the highway, a guy in a Toyota Supra tried to drag race me. I'm sorry I hurt his feelings - probably a Democrat to be stupid enough anyways.

My wish: Bring back the Vmax but lower engine displacement of about 400cc, but less restrictions on the stock ECU, and with the weight savings... now we're talking!

I have a 2018. Absolutely love it. Almost 66k miles of smiles, and 16 sets of tires.

Hardly riders need to put 20k plus to come close.

I wanted a max since they first came out, i finally got one and my wife said she would ride with me if i got a back rest, I got one, she rode once....i didnt do anything stupid or aggressive, got off and she said okay, i'm done, i asked why and she said it just feels and looks scary. Oh well the max was soooo much fun to ride.

This reminds me of some guys that complained about the FZ07, saying there was too much wind on their chest. Well, yeah, ya stupid pansies, it's a naked bike. I mean wtf did they expect, right? I bet some say the same about the VMax.

I have had an 01 and still own my 2010. After getting the ECU gurued, delkevic cans it really wakes it up but you'll suffer at the pump. at 170 pounds no matter the sport bike that tries to leave you you can usually if not always pass them handily. The Diavel is much lighter and feels easier to handle but shouldnt even be in same category as far as power. Mine as most should top out at 172 pretty much just limited by the gearing and rear gear, because anyone that has ever top one out knows it could pull for much longer, in very quick succession 165, 166, 167, 168, 169, 170, 171 and then stops at 171. not governed. In my opinion just liek on my old V65 a 6th gear like an over drive would be welcome, because at 70 mph your at 4000 rpm and as I have said this bike it thirsty. After becoming really good at burning out in turns on my 01, the 2nd gen just has too large a tire and grips so I have been hesitant to really really try. Why because it looks damn cool.

VMax over engendered in every aspect… do proper maintenance and drive it like you stole it… I have 2009 and still on the original clutch… and I give her da beans daily.
I agree the range is annoying but nothing has better grins per mile.
