Kawasaki have always been green.

I love dirt bikes as much as anyone, but the noise of running motocross bikes is what will kill the sport. I like the noise too, but people half a mile away trying to have a picnic not in to it so much. Less noise is what the electric bikes have going for them.

That means that bike will be more junk than it is now

If you look at Kawasaki's plans they are zero emissions not just electric. They are working on hydrogen fueled supercharged internal combustion 2-stroke engine/electric motor hybrid motorcycles as part of their future product line.

Hopefully I’ll have worms eatin me by 2035

I hope they increase the range......right now its a joke. Although Im quite surprised that Tesla Plaid is faster 1/4 mile than Porsche 918.....but so far, snowmobiles and dirtbikes cant compete against ICE.

If everything is going lithium where is all these resources going to come from? Not only are they trying to make all cars motorcycles and planes lithium but people tend to forget that computers, phones, cordless tools in the work force, current batteries in cars, power washers lawn mowers ect already use lithium. Where is all these resources going to come from? You’ll have to burn more coal or produce more oil for solar power in order to use this energy. Electric powered things are nice to have another choice but not everything needs to go in this direction. We aren’t taking a step forward more or less to the side just to say we are doing something rather than solving the problem.

I will NEVER buy an electric bike! We all love the sound and feel of a combustion engine! It’s not even a MOTORcycle at that point, it’s just a bike. Going all electric will be so bad for the sport and will make it not interesting to even watch.

Because electric power plants, (all the new ones that will be needed to support the growing electric stupidity) won’t make any waste. Nuclear waste is thrown into space so it won’t affect us at all. How freaking stupid do you have to be to believe going electric will help anything? Pretty damn stupid. What will tires be made of? Legos? Isn’t plastic oil derived also? Rubber?

I will NEVER understand everyone in the comments saying, "The day it's all electric is the day I quit riding."

Having ridden the Alta before I can tell you I had a blast and I can't imagine it will even come close to comparing to what the big manufacturers can do. I think electric bikes are going to save our industry.

Set aside all of the environmentalist, lefty-woke nonsense about emissions, and burning fuel and all of that crap. Because it is just that. A pile of nonsensical crap. But think about this, people are getting bitchier and bitchier and the quieter we are the less people have to complain about. Think of all of the riding areas that could open up to us if there were no noise. Backyard tracks? Not a pipe dream anymore. That vacant lot that's been sitting for years in your town but no one can develop it because of zoning, or whatever, that could be a track.

Don't get me wrong, I love hearing a bike as much as the next guy, but do I ride just because it goes BRAAAP?

No, I don't. I ride because I love the way it feels. I love railing a corner, or nailing a rhythm section or just being out with my dad and kids. That's moto, not the sound it makes.

So ask yourself if you're really going to give up on riding because of that do you really have a passion for riding?

We can dump the old batteries in the deep ocean or just burn them in giant incinerators. Should be good.

The best electric dirt bike was from ALTA. They went bankrupt and none of the Big5 have sold a replacement.
14 years from now... yeah there will be electric dirt bikes.
Much like 2 strokes have their niche, 4 strokes and ebikes will find their place.
Electric MX tracks in cities.
Fewer noise issues.

Lithium is harder to get than oil.
Electric will need nuclear power.
Radiation waste is impossible to clean.
Lithium batteries explode without warning. Recent mainstream news reports scooters in the cities are burning out of control, and can't be extinguished until it burns all stored energy at a hotter temperature than gasoline burns.

I will be keeping all my bikes from now on liberals think electric is the answer when its more expensive and harms the environment more you cant even work on the dam thing yourself no clutch or shifter its beyond stupid but in 14 years maybe if we get joe out we can stop this electric bullshit

We all must resist this, it's one thing if there's an electric option but if we support this electric garbage it will make it easier for them to force it upon us which is what they're going to try to do anyways. Death of most of the two strokes was bad enough, death of the internal combustion engine all together should be a red line for all of us. For now vote with your dollars -> buy gas, ignore electric -> stand up and resist!

By 2035 lithium batteries cease to exist. We will be well into new more efficient and cleaner battery technology.

I wish all these companies would take into consideration that most of us don’t want or believe that electric is best for the future. The mining it takes for the batteries is as bad or worse than drilling for oil. Just not mined in our backyard. So stupid. Not even to mention the waste when the batteries are done and need to be trashed. Just make both and keep everyone happy! Or even better not even invest in it any farther.

I'm getting so sick of all these manufacturing companies "going all electric by..." I know it's just virtue signaling to try and score points or maybe earn Carbon Credits or whatever but where do they think all the electricity to charge these bikes and cars and trucks is gonna come from?!! Not to mention the new mines that will needed to get the Lithium for the batteries, etc. Gasoline works just fine.
