this type of thing usually doesn't work for me but thank you so much! these are so helpful! i've been doing it for almost two weeks straight now and they genuinely have made songwriting a lot less intimidating.

So I’ve been doing these daily for like months now and I always find it hard to do the picture this exercise. Is it bad to do that exercise but with different pictures?

This was seriously so helpful. It got me writing more than the last couple weeks of fumbling trying to find out where to start. Breaking things down and operationalizing is something I struggle with but taking it a step at a time makes it manageable.

This is the only thing I can come up with
When the sun sings
Beats line up
To show the world and
Let the hopes pop
To make our dreams a cup

How our hearts feel bright
Sitting on top of the height of the mountain
Under the moonlight
Gazing at the stars at night
Leaning on his shoulders in delight

Do these daily:

1) Word Association
In 3 minutes write all the words you can that you associate with that word.

Example: “Dream”

I couldn't concentrate on the video because of the mesmerizing accent that even weakens the knees 🙈

Been doing this once or twice a day for two weeks, and not only has my songwriting improved but in casual conversation I’m naturally able to express myself better

Ms. Emma. I have a question again but this time it's about what I've did at the "Ghost Writer" last month
it's because. when I've done 1 of that lyric writing exercises last July....
I've used 1 of my favorite country songs "These Days" by my idol country band "Rascal Flatts"
and the thing is when I was on those lines.... I've really changed the lyrics of that song
into the reasons why I dedicate that song to my friend (and also my 1st Love) who've dumped or rejected me
So. is it really alright to do that thing?.... 'cause for me it's really embarrassing?
