Homekit Washing Machine Alert Automation

I am forever putting on the washing, going off and doing other things and completely forget that the washing has probably finished and needs to be hung out to dry.

I was inspired watching the Smart Home Solver Youtube channel and a tour of Jimmy Hawkin's smart home, to use a smart switch with an energy meter to make an automation that alerted me when the washing machine had finished its cycle.

This video walks you through home I used Apple Homekit with support from Homebridge to make this all work.
