She is certainly a unique and stunning beauty. I am certain that alone causes a lot of feelings in any audience. But she is not a good actress. She has a certain melancholic look that makes it seem like she is portraying a lot of emotions. But it's just her face. On the other hand, she seems classically trained for singing. Or has a natural talent for it. I don't know anything about her bio. But I have seen Shameless. In my opinion, she is more Broadway material than anything else. But she went a different route and Fiona is an iconic character that will hardly be forgotten by her fans.

The song is so pure it really does not need the swelling strings. It would have a more powerful effect with just her and the piano.

This song sounds a lot like “unchained melody” by the righteous brothers pretty sure the chorus was inspired by that song. If you like this one you might like that song too.
