Great video! Thank You!
ОтветитьThe American Standard systems we install already have the sensor and mitigation board installed in their air handlers, which makes it less of a hassle, but their split system cased coils have the board mounted on the front directly under the refrigerant line connections, so you have to be extra careful brazing. They also come with a low voltage wire bundle you have to hook up to break up the typical low volt connections inside the furnace. Just a bunch of extra garbage to add to our jobs, courtesy of more great govt ideas. Not to mention we've noticed a consistent trend of 454B charging with very wonky numbers. I'm already not a big fan of it.
ОтветитьThe reason one would need to ventilate the A2L refrigerant isn't only because of potential combustion but more or so because of the environmental harm it does to living beings and the atmosphere. Sorta like carbon monoxide. It is less damning to the atmosphere but is still harmful.
ОтветитьReally appreciate how you make the complicated seem simple. You're an excellent source of knowledgeable information.
ОтветитьIf you run the fan constantly to move cold air from the basement to the upper levels, wouldn't this technology become ineffective?
ОтветитьAnother $1000 board to replace for the customer
ОтветитьHow many here have tried to sell equipment stating that a mildly flammable refrigerant isn't really dangerous yet at the same time it costs more because it has required leak detection and shutdown?
ОтветитьDump the charge and refill with 410a. Bypassing the sensor is not difficult.
ОтветитьNothing but an extra headache. So.... when is the "short supply of 454B" being phased out? Lol.
ОтветитьIf you can follow a print it’s not that bad. Thanks for the video. Just another few components that can go bad…..sucks for the customer great for HVAC service.
ОтветитьGreed and stupid climate change liberals. Thats how we got here.
ОтветитьI wonder if a housewife cleaning with cleaning solvents or somebody in the basement working on car parts using certain low temperature solvents to clean car parts trigger the sensor to shut off on a hot summer day.
More components to break
All of this is absolutely so unnecessary. The stuff is barely flammable and at that a 2-year-old could out walk the speed of flames
Ответитьgreat microchanel with a2l!
ОтветитьMore electronic crap that will always break down. Let alone very very dangerous refrigerant
ОтветитьGreat video but more garbage to go wrong and more expence for the customer.
ОтветитьYour work is good I want to work with you are you in Manchester
ОтветитьGreat video Craig. Thank you.
Ответить👌👌👌👌🙏
Ответитьlove you sir thank you for your greatness
ОтветитьCan you do a Lennox 454b?!
ОтветитьYour videos are the best source for HVAC education that I have come across..Thank you Craig..
ОтветитьSo how much of this is code? Are all HC systems coming with that set up?
ОтветитьI think this is madness
ОтветитьThanks but not likely but > an massive evap coil leak would like you explained kills the gas furnace also kills the AC & Turn the blower on .....to blow the escaping gasses into the living spaces inside but sure no other choices
ОтветитьReally wish this type of information was through some sort of professional platform. I really love the knowledge your giving out just dislike that were fueling a world full of DIYers with information that we all have to spend countless hours in class and training and in the field devolping.
ОтветитьCan the dragon fly kit be installed instead of this board?
ОтветитьWhy would they want to wire the board on Sec 1 before the fuse? Does the dissipation board have a fuse? If not, seems like the board needs to be protected with a fuse.
ОтветитьSo this is the best refrigerant we could come up with. Just something else to fail.
Ответитьu r my Idol .. I’m still learning from ur video ..If u hv a time .. Could u explain us bout infinity unit and how to diagnostic step by step ?? plz 🙏🙏🙏
ОтветитьPlanning to retire of this hvac Bs .. To much shit and sucks economy
ОтветитьThose things will be dumpster food. We’ve had flammable refrigerant before and this sensor crap wasn’t used. The unit will run just fine without that stupid sensor. Typical government nonsense!
ОтветитьI'm pretty inhaling refrigerant that has been expelled to the rest of the house via the air handler could have devastating health effects to the occupants. WTF!
ОтветитьOne more thing to break and piss off customers.
ОтветитьTotal BS
ОтветитьThe next 10 years is going to be fun replacing all these crappy leaking coils.😂
ОтветитьThis for a Carrier furnace only? The wiring was a little bit confusing since I never done one.☝️
Ответитьdo these sensors trip permanently and need to be replaced? Like the flammable vapor sensors in gas water heaters, that trip and have to be replaced. My clothes washer/dryer (and use bleach) is near my water heater. Blows my FVS every 1-2 years so have to keep a spare sealed up and taped to the water heater.
ОтветитьHere's an idea, why don't we create a non flammable refrigerant for indoor units?
ОтветитьYou're a good instructor
ОтветитьHow can it be bypassed? I mean, we all know that there's a way and it will be water in a desert that everyone will shortly be doing..
ОтветитьAfter the “ R454 “ sensor you can test it with R32, R410, R422, R134, R407, and R22. You will find it to trip with like results as R454
🤔
So if the AC has a leak the don’t get heat in the home either … trash
Ответитьawesome and great video you explain this very good
ОтветитьDo you have a video that explains r32 with a night hawk wiring connection
ОтветитьYou could still have an overflow if the Ss2 fails or if the coil freezes and then melts and fills up the pan
ОтветитьWondering if painting your house will triggered it???
ОтветитьI hate the EPA. Ruins everything for consumers, nothing was wrong with R-410 (or R22)
ОтветитьWhat a joke, the government has caused more problems with their bullshit than R22 could ever cause, R22 worked for decades with no problems, when R410a was forced on us all of a sudden there's nothing but problems, now it looks like the new refrigerant equipment is going to be even more retarded than 410a, just another ripoff scam by the corporate state which is a criminal syndicate in reality
Ответить
