“Pakistan talking about peace is like the devil quoting from the scripture!”

In a fiery interview with Sky News, BJP spokesperson Jaiveer Shergill launched a sharp rebuttal against Pakistani claims following India’s targeted strikes on nine terror camps as part of Operation Sindoor.

Slamming Islamabad’s attempt to project itself as a peace-seeking nation, Shergill likened Pakistan talking about peace to “a devil quoting scriptures,” highlighting its long-standing presence on the FATF grey list and its history of sheltering wanted terrorists like Osama bin Laden.

Responding to Pakistan’s allegations that India is avoiding an international investigation into the 22 April terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, Shergill firmly stated that after decades of cross-border terrorism—including attacks in 2001, 2008, 2016, and 2019—“the time for investigation is over; India is now all for action.”

Addressing Islamabad's claims about civilian casualties and the targetting of mosques, Shergill categorically denied it, asserting that India had provided visual evidence of the airstrikes, which targetted only nine terrorist sites and made sure to avoid civilian and military establishments.
