I feel like she wasn't testing her patience. She was testing her knowledge & giving her multiple chances to give the correct answer, which she didn't.

The correct answer aside, in reality what happens is that the custodian would stop texting for a couple of seconds, look at the situation, shake his head and continue texting.

“A patient’s family want to complain about their relative’s care. What do you do?”

Me: I listen and if I can’t help, I refer them to a senior nurse.

“What if the other nurses are busy?”

Me: I inform the family that they will need to wait to speak to someone.

“What if they can’t wait and want something done now?”

Me: I show them the relevant Avenue to file a complaint if all else fails.

scoff eye-roll murmurs occur between them
“Thank you, do you have any questions for us?”

Bruh what were they looking for?

I got an interview for a job as an equality officer at a prison, they were really impressed with my application. But I messed up the interview because they asked me what “systems” I would use to check that inmates felt they were being treated fairly and whether they had any complaints. I started talking about research methods and software to collect and analyse data. It turns out that they literally just wanted me to say asking them in person. I feel like that was an unfair trick question because they confused me with the word “systems” and talking to them face to face is just far too obvious and goes without saying

"How did your complexion change from dark to fair when compared to your ID vs you in real life". Now I am not claiming I am exceptionally pretty and every woman is jealous of me, this is the only time I feel I was rejected due to looks. Now I also understand that one might ask for identity purposes, but consider, in my country there's a bais for fair skin. My ID picture was slightly decolorised because it was printed and scanned and printed and scanned many times but still pretty easily recognisable (you know how they mess up with the colour a little). Now my interviewer was on the darker side, wearing a foundation that obviously wasn't her shade, not that it matters to me, but she sounded so salty asking me how did I go 2 shaded lighter than she expected, which i think was super unnecessary and unprofessional... Then proceeded to ask questions, which I was super prepared for because those were repeated questions for that company, but she somehow denied accepting that I was remotely right for any of the questions. It wasn't a hard company to crack, i cracked harder companies following, and this was the company I had the strongest preparation for, didn't miss a question and still got rejected. That was one of my earlier interviews, and I was highly demotivated not because of the rejection but the way she talked to me, but good for me, right after that interview I got selected for a wayy better company. I just feel she was racist, truly believed colour mattered when it comes to looks...and the fact that she had to take in consideration my complexion to make herself feel a certain way about herself, and when it didn't work as expected she really tried her best to put me down is disgusting. And I promise i usually never assume stuff like these, but this pretty obviously let off that vibe.

he didn’t rlly answer the question. just saying “id intervene” isn’t answering h o w you’d stop the patient from doing that in that moment.

Ответить
@JustASunflowerSeeD
@JustASunflowerSeeD - 29.12.2021 19:52

I get she was testing his patience, but that's not the best way to do it. You don't expect for your interviewer to not understand what you're saying, but you do expect a senior to have trouble understanding you because of their old age. Unlike the patients, the interviewer is SUPPOSED to understand what you're saying, and try their best to listen.

I'm not a very patient person, I'll admit, but when I see someone who has a genuine reason for not understanding me to that degree I know how to stay calm.
