WHY I WAS EXPECTING 25 PRE CONS ?
haha
I just love Rachel, anything she does and says is like sweet musings to my ears, definitely need her in more videos. Thank you Rachel!
ОтветитьI unfortunately need sleep, I'll finish watching this episode tomorrow...later today...
Anyway, I'm enjoying watching someone talk about their deck collection. That, and I'm a Rachel fan. I was surprised to learn that she only has 25 decks.
I've been building commander decks since the original Innistrad block with Grimgrin zombie tribal being my first commander deck. I rarely...very selectively...tear down decks. As a result of that and my deck building addiction, I'm currently at 88 decks. My goal is 120. Not exactly flexing here, it's just genuinely surprising to me that there aren't more people with over 50 decks.
I'd like to rank my decks too, but it wouldn't be by staying power. I guess by how fun they are to pilot, or just by power level?
i spent 10 minutes just reading elpseth
Ответитьcommand zone, please give this queen a chance to play her powerful decks!
no-edit, high power rachel and friends gameplay series on patreon?? monthly brew battles episode of extra turns?? the people deserve some showstopper games with these badass decks and rachel deserves to play them🙏🏻
I would love to see a "reason for the season" episode! how does Rachel go about reverse engineering a commander deck to highlight a single card or a package of cards? I think it helps one break the deckbuilding mold and experiment with sub themes.
Ответитьmake a 2024 version of this video!
ОтветитьI wanna see a deck tier list for Jimmy!
ОтветитьFloodgate!!! Floodgate is such a powerful card in monoblue, I use it in Azami, Lady of Scrolls with flying enablers and bounce/flicker too. Great video but so happy to see that card get a shoutout.
ОтветитьRachel I wub u
ОтветитьI have over 20 Commander Decks and other than the Princess Twilight Sparkle I built for my daughter, there is no overlap....that is what makes Commander great in my opinion, the diversity and style differences.
ОтветитьRachel's personal style of deckbuilding and what she wants out of commander as a game format for her... just makes sense. One of the more cerebral and likable takes. I second the motion that more commandzone staff should do this type of episode.
ОтветитьI'm pretty new to the game and very new to this format.. how are there 25 copies of one spell in a commander deck i thought it was single copies only?
ОтветитьOh im absolutely building that temmet deck thats hilarious
ОтветитьI would love to see a full deck tech on that lord of riots!
ОтветитьI thought I had many commander decks with 11 decks, of which I'm gonna take 3-4 apart already again
ОтветитьLove me some Rachel. Let’s gooooo!
ОтветитьI finally found use for my Thran Turbine 🤩 pulled it as a child, traded for it when I restarted MtG and never knew what to do since.. Thx Rachel!
ОтветитьWith the rest of the MLP characters being printed, Twilight Sparkle becomes a win con. Or game ender? I don't know who would win.
ОтветитьI wish people round here cared at all about power level. Most people just build ridiculously powered decks which starts an arms race where now everyone has boderline cedh decks so if you arent prepared for that you are barely allowed to even play the game. Its become somewhat draining
ОтветитьThe lord windgrace anime print is one ive been meaning to get for a while. Him just a lil kitty 🐈⬛
ОтветитьUltra pro cubes/ towers are the best. I have only towers atm to hold dice and counters but once I have enough I’ll start putting the rest in cubes
ОтветитьI have the dihada precon. She’s fun and seems solid. I don’t upgrade preconstructed decks but I always figured she’d be really strong if you had the right legendaries to fill it with
ОтветитьPast Rachel with her Eloise deck is going to be super excited for the future Murders and Karlov Manor set 😂
ОтветитьBoardwipe via turning everything into germs is absolutely hilarious
Ответитьi wonder how difficult it is to low rank a deck you had fun building - All my decks are "S" tier.... in my head LOL
ОтветитьSidisi Brood Tyrant came about out of my imagination and straight into my life long ago. When I first started playing commander, I was playing Karador, and I fell in love with my sultai standard deck when splinterfreight, boneyard wurm, and ghoultree were in standard.
The big issue was that karador doesn't mill you himself and there was even less support back then. I complained constantly that they needed to make a sultai colored graveyard themed commander that consistantly milled you every turn. I also needed it to be 3 or 4 mana. A couple sets later, Voila! Sidisi was born straight out of my hearts greatest desires and has remained my FAVORITE and MOST PLAYED commander ever since.
I will never get rid of it and I also have a super cool alter art to go along with my foil and dated version. I have made multiple versions of this deck from "power equal to creatures" themed, reanimator themed, zombie tokens themed, and even sacrifice/exploit themed, with my favorite version containing toolbox subtheme and an instant combo to win with laboratory maniac using a clone of mirror mad phantasm to mill the whole deck and draw with "think twice".
I am so happy to see you give Sidisi an S! Thank you.
what is a cornerstone?
ОтветитьThank you so much this really helped me out a lot! and i saw some interesting ideas that i didnt think about
ОтветитьHazezon reminded me of this thought of, who do i need to talk to, to get Dune to be introduced to MTG :'(
ОтветитьThe deck I want to build in paper is more than anything is a Jeskai Narset deck with Narset, Enlightened Exile at the helm. Narset, Enlightened Master is the card that originally got me interested in playing Magic when my Uncle first taught me how to play. Now that I started building and collecting my own Commander Decks I want to make my own deck around her latest iteration. Once I finish the deck I can guarantee that it’ll become my favorite go to that I play at least once every time I play at my LGS. Narset is just a great and powerful “toolbox” Commander that you can build so many ways and pack so much utility.
I don’t really care much for Theft decks personally, but I love turning my opponents own cards an effects against them. And Narset, Enlightened Exile is perfect for that kind of play style. The deck I brewed for her could basically be called “Stop Hitting Yourself” and it’s beautiful.
We need a Personal Deck List for more Zone Members. Love this series.
ОтветитьWhen she was talking about the Temmet deck I couldn’t help but think, over and over, “Kaldra Compleat!!”
ОтветитьThis is awesome, thank you!
ОтветитьI love the pride with which you present your wierdos! Shows passion for magic and love for the deck! I also have this conversation every once in a while "Why is X in your deck?" -"Because its freaking awesome!"
ОтветитьI wouldn't call your Krak, the Thumbless deck too powerful. Most decks I play at my LGS are decks that outpace causal decks. I'm always the one getting outpaced by fast decks in causals, but then the come at my deck with precon and I eat them for breakfast. Removal heavy decks are just hard to play against and when someone is playing removal heavy I play my phoenix deck, tokens, or my breya if I feel too much like I'm getting controlled. It is sad to go up against a deck you didn't stand a chance against but then they come at my deck with a pre-con and I eat their deck for breakfast. The funnest matches are the matches were I get to slow down and not play a fast deck. I hate constantly feeling the need to speed up decks that refuse to go fast, but when I finally get in a pod where I feel I can slow down I play my slower casual decks and I have a blast.
ОтветитьYou had me at Rachel. swoon
ОтветитьThis is like when you are dating a single mom and havent met the kids yet!
ОтветитьWe need a update with that shilgengar 😎
ОтветитьI never took Rachel as a horse girl.
ОтветитьRachel you are one of my favorite MTG personalities. I love your style of play and deck building. You’ve been an inspiration for me as both player and brewer ever since you first came to Game Knights!
ОтветитьTwo amazing "weirdos" I'd recommend for Tayam Enchantress are Icatian Moneychanger and Nature's Chosen.
Ответитьi fuck with dingus staff so hard
Ответитьin the search for blex deck maybe having some green creatures that you can get in play only by reanimating would be fun
Ответитьand in 2025 they're all going to be about a 4 :D
ОтветитьSince this is a podcast, why didn't she read out the cards texts so people listening to this could know what the card does?
Ответить"...so Phelddagryf of couse is an ass." Poor fella, that was harsh.
ОтветитьWhat do you think? Did Rachel surprise you with anything? Any decks you want to build now? Any hot tech you think she should add to her decks? Do you want to see this episode for other members of the team?
