🏃‍♂️ Before a marathon build, I prioritize THREE things:

1️⃣ + 2️⃣ **Strength and Stability** to boost injury resilience. Incorporating strength training helps build a solid foundation, preventing injuries and improving overall running form. 💪
3️⃣ **Speed** is the biggest focus to enhance VO2 max and anaerobic power. Speed workouts increase your ability to sustain higher intensities, crucial for marathon performance. 💨

The key is to start with a speed block before transitioning to more lactate threshold and volume training. This approach ensures you're building speed and power first, laying the groundwork for a successful marathon training cycle. 🏅
