You also didn't mention that the Catholic Church also controlled what books made it into the Bible. There are books of Enoch, Mary Magdalene, and Judas. They were not allowed in because they contradicted what the Catholic Church wanted.

The most cringe about JW and their 'bible' is that it's a sh*tty 'translation' which perfectly fits their view. Ask any person who has basic knowledge of Hebrew, Greek and Latin to keep the NW 'translation' next to the primary source and they will laugh the balls out of their pants 😆

So I’m not a religious person, but I do think that people should be able to believe what they want.
How ever I do disagree with structured religion as I find more times then not when you tell someone your not religious They take it apon themselves to “try and save your soul “ but they don’t think about that they are being offensive by preaching to people who don’t want to be preached to ( I’m not saying everyone that is religious is like this )

I lost it when they said the Bible was preserved the Bible is NOT the same scripture from thousands of years ago it’s been altered so much to match the translator’s self interest

It would be more realistic if the movies depicted biblical people with a dirty shirt or two. Aftwr all many of these folks lived with their animals, yet in the Watchtower movies, they all look like they've just stepped out of a Banana Republic store🍌 😳

I am on my own personal journey in the Catholic Church and a couple days ago I encountered an elderly JW at my work who took issue with me becoming Catholic and had a need to point out how big the JW is, and that Catholics don't know the bible and never ever read the bible so he was eager to catch me out on that assuming i never read the bible except I was able to answer all his questions almost perfectly. I have seen quite a view videos on this channel so and from everything I have read it was definitely very hard not to throw the cult accusation but since I didn't want to be fired I had to hold back most of my points but by the end of it I was able to show him even though I am not a JW I was happy and he even said I had a beautiful soul and while I don't think the JW's lost a follower i do honestly think i was able to break through that JW shell just a little bit for him to realize there something beyond walls of the "watch tower."

Found a Mormon publication on the road once in my former state (unfortunately infested with Mormons) and I had to stop myself from guffawing out loud over the pale, blond, blue-eyed Jesus amongst the equally-pasty Native Americans (if you know about Mormonism you know what I'm talking about)

Hey just out of curiosity. What does a JW funeral look like? Is it more or less like most “Western” funerals? Or is it much different? Are they always buried in a casket? Or is there cremation? If Panda or any former JWs can give me an answer I’d appreciate it!

I can imagine Jewish scribes making an error in writing out the Torah by hand. The rule was that they would have to start over, but, frankly, in the age before printing, most of them just kept their mouths shut. After all, who would ever notice the error, at least before it was too late to do anything about it, and the errant scribe was long gone?

I love how the whole cast they picked for these movies are like the whitest of white people even though it takes place in the Middle East and I would assume that these people have some darker skin if not at least some tans because they wandered deserts and didn’t have sunscreen that I know of.

Completely unrelated, but my friend was spotted by JWs at school. They gave him some ticket for some kind of bible class. He was excited to give it to me because I'm catholic. I took a look and I was like: "That's JW..." He was like:"Ohhh. Is that bad?" And I was like:"It's a cult." And then there was such an awkward silece that we just started laughing our asses off. But yeah, just shows how they are ready to invade a school without letting the director know they are going to be there. They are desperate to get new follower because many people are starting to realise it's a scam.

They also insert words as they please, like “final end,” etc.*

Paul said women must remain silent in Corinthians, but in Romans 16:1 he says: “Greetings to Phoebe, a deacon of the church.” Did you know a deacon is a ministerial servant who gives talks on the Kingdom Hall platform?*

*Paul also said: there is neither male nor female, slave nor free, for we are all equal in the Lord’s presence. So if we’re all equal, why are women only used to clean bathrooms and cook?*
