Epidemic Sound in 2024 - Not worth it? (REVIEW)

There search engine is trash, i cant find good sound effects like basic whoosh effect...

Okay I'm confused. Never heard of this but is it the same company as the record label?

I switched to Universal for Creators and it's got a better selection of sound effects, music that sounds a bit more "mainstream." They're also cheaper; not everyone can dish out an annual sub price, so for this, Epidemic makes you pay $17 a month instead of $10 to incentivize going annual. Skill Share used to do that and I stopped using them. There's plenty of competition for what ultimately ends up being just background music for people lol.

Their music sounds very low budget. Most of the composers on there are probably bedroom producers using vst plugins. The best music I can find at the moment is on APM music. They have Hollywood cinema quality music on there and have famous composers, as well as a vast library of music, probably the largest I’ve seen.

The only problem is APM music is old school so you have to contact a rep in order to obtain a license for each song you want.

This was really helpful. Thank you for answering the questions I saw getting asked A LOT on other creators videos when it came to Epidemic sound. I really want to try the platform but the copyright claims from people who are actually subscribed makes me hesitate. I will try for a few months and see what my experience is like.

How do I insert the sound while editing on CapCut? I am editing using my android.

I have a question , let's assume I sub to epidemic , I post a video , will I get a claim from YT during checks and it gets whitelisted later or epidemic just makes sure I do not get any copyright claim at all. and if the first proccess happens , do I lose my money from my video since it's demonetized untill it gets cleared up

I use it now for about a week and i'm very happy with Epidemic sound! I did use Upbeat but I always felt limited. Of course I had to get used to the other interface. The Mobile App is a big plus point. I can easily prepare myself on the train for the music for the next video.
