This is an excellent video until he makes the critical error of magically conjuring renewables out of thin air, which is a mistake that almost everyone makes so it's not surprising. Unfortunately to make renewables requires mining and making copper, zinc, iron, metallurgical coal, aluminum, lithium, cobalt, rare earths and other virgin materials. Not sure how you do that with zero emissions. Otherwise, all very good :-)

Thank you Rupert. It’s quite traumatic, watching the insanity, the madness so obvious to see.

Seeds without insects? Would that work?

There are 450 nuclear stations, which need to be controlled!

Rebellion, yes, but a plan for what to push is essential!

A lot of my friends who claim to be concerned about climate change (but also manage to fly in their private planes from Buckinghamshire to the South Coast and to Oxfordshire for a bite of lunch), are also "remainers". Personally I feel that doing something drastic about climate change is going to mean doing something about population growth, international trade, mass migration, etc. This inevitably leads me to think that devolution from large pan national organisations to smaller self governing less urbanised societies. I am wondering what the view is of people from Extinction Rebellion is to Brexit?

As a mother and a grandmother, I consider this issue #1
in 2020 when considering the Prez nominees. I am sick with fear, not for my husband and I, but for our beautiful grandson and all future generations.

We can propose this or that but are already locked into a disaster. Who will be there to read the history of this, aliens.

The events in Africa indicates a possible move towards the first phase of an attempt at human survival, panic. This will eventually spur action, the next phase is unknown.

Excellent, thanks for posting this Jamie, it's the hardest topic to face but this is the best talk I've heard from Rupert Read, and this time he manages to bridge the abyss to conclude on a positive note! Very inspiring...and 100% right.....

It's going to end in tears. I just hope it's the white van driver who's crying and not the rest of us.

Human nature needs to evolve. Like the last days of Hitler, partying in the bunker is not survival, or moral.
What did you Do during the EcoWar? Sit on your hands and Drink the consumerist coolAde? Did you Even ever protest against the dying of your light.

Even if burning fossil fuel does heat up the earth you cant ignore the amount of people who would die if we stopped using them

CHANGING CLIMATE'S going to do in us Primates.
Also the birds, though they can't read these words.
The dodo was doodoo we flushed down the loo, too.
And the trees and the seas and the bugs and the pugs.
And not just the plants and the animal zoo .....
the tiniest planktons that make the O2.
It's so terribly sad when ONE species ..... just ..... ceases.
You'd think we'd
had a special plot,
"Exterminate the bloody lot!"
Deniers and liars and industry hires, weave and deceive us, their gullible buyers.
So now we have the great distinction of bringing on our own extinction.
And know what's really, really funny?
We're FOSSIL FOOLS in love with money."
The End??????

When you are willing to give up your smart phones, because of their carbon footprint, then you'll have some credibility. Which will be never because you can't give them up. Weather spiraling out of control? Tis to laugh. Sally was a CAT 2. Whewww. So scary. Bahahaha
