What about a rubber tree plant? Would this plant possibly do well without soil?

We grow Monstera deliciosa fruits here in California pretty easily. Of course, hardly anybody here has a Monstera indoors… although some do. But most of the fruiting-age ones are simply too large and vigorous to maintain inside. Thus they fruit every year 😊 Good light and sun. My uncle had one inside though that fruited several times. And it only had a few leaves. It was a bushy sort of plant, not really vining or climbing, but had a very thick vine of about three feet long. As thick as a person’s arm, roughly. Just very short for some reason. Though it apparently was mature enough to produce fruit.

Also, the Thaumatophyllum 'Selloum' or 'Hope' (or split-leaf philodendron, lickety-split, etc) makes similar fruits to the Monstera deliciosa…edible when ripe, as well. Those can get massive outside and will eventually fruit the same as monstera.

Apparently, even anthurium berries (on certain varieties) are edible when ripened and bright red!

I like my rabbit foot fern but it’s not in semi hydro yet. Now this is a reminder for me to switch. I love your Hoya compacta.

Thank you so much Nora for all the great info you always provide. Now thanks to this one I have a few more plants on my wish list. I would be interested to know if Philodendron splendid does well in lecca. I just purchased one and would like to transition if they do…
