It's good see I'm not the only one that talks to airplanes lol. When I'm alone with the B-1 I find myself talking to her and asking her nicely to behave today. She also likes her belly rubbed.

Quick question about Boeing 757 tire psi. Kinda figured they operate at high psi. 200-300 psi. Like a bomb if they explode.

Hello Mr. Stig. Question: What does a gear disagree indication mean? Is it in the form of a light? What should be done about it?

I drive by Spirit of Seventy Six a few times a week on my way to Marina Del Rey to work on the boats. I remember when it was at Hawthorne Airport until the museum there lost its lease. I was wondering how it got moved, I assumed it hasn't been airworthy for decades. I figured they towed it down the 105 in the middle of the night, but it looks like they removed the wings. Thanks for the tour.

PS: when you show cargo be aware of “ASML” big box. I noticed in more than one video. This is one of the most important machines of our time. They are critical to produce all of our microprocessors…

One of my stories: I was a crew chief on the C-141 Starlifter in the late 80s. We had a situation with a nitrogen cart (called a Rhino) and a nose gear strut. The scissor links were disconnected when someone was servicing the NLG strut, had the hose hooked up to the schrader valve and opened the valve. You do this from inside the NLG wheel well. The PSI was supposed to be 300, but was actually set to 3,000. The upper and lower parts of the strut blew apart. Fortunately, the man inside wasn't crushed by the nose gear, but was trapped inside for several hours while they had to figure out how to lift the nose up to get him out. They attached the nose jack pads, but they were too low to get the nose jacks under them, so they ended up using cargo straps and two massive fork lifts on each side to lift the nose off the ground. Lots of mistakes were made, but no one got killed. Every time you stand up in the 737 NLG well, I think of that.

My Dad was a fireman from 1947 to 68 no Scottpacks for 0 ²… l got drenched in hydraulic fluid shower too. 1983 in USAF while swinging the gear on the ground. Someone installed a small cotter key which snapped as soon as the gear moved. It went all over me and in my eyes at 1500 psi. I sprayed off immediately and rushed to the ER for eye irrigation for 3 hours. Luckily i can still see. Just a scratch to the cornea tested by ultra blue violet light. I love airplanes still. I wirked there 3 more years and watch Stig.

I remember when I was working in the Oil & Gas field we had to use this nasty hydraulic fluid in the the valves we were manufacturing as they had to go to Siberia and resist the cold. It can function properly at temperatures near -40ºC but smells quite nasty, it is skin irritant and very toxic if inhaled.

"In the past the eyebrow windows helped provide better crew visibility, but today's advanced navigation systems have made those windows obsolete." So it goes from talking about visibility (what do the crew need to be able to see above them) to then talking about navigation.....which is what you and many other pilots have also said it was used for. I feel like it meant better visibility of the stars.
