Tesla solar panels at least 2-3x more expensive than China made panels imported to Australia

(Serious question) Elon Musk is obviously very set on going to Mars. I think Tesla cars are ideal for driving on Mars (or at least the technology that goes into them, probably a different form factor -- maybe even the "M-spec" cybertruck?). So what about solar power? Do you think Musk is planning to implement his solar power solutions on Mars, too? Mars is about 60% further away from the sun than the Earth is. I wonder if solar is a viable option for generating power on Mars. If it is the best option for generating power on Mars, given Musk's obsession with going there, it would make sense why Tesla is so into solar power. (If there are other technologies that would be useful on Mars and that Tesla could capitalize on, I bet Musk would want to go into that business.)

Unfortunately this "analysis" was far too full of "I believe it is possible that" BS. Time and Time again entirely unsubstantiated 50% and 100% YoY increases were postulated, seemingly pulled right out of the speaker's arse. Sorry but that's not good enough for any true Tesla fan with any respect for facts and STEM methods. Show some established technology adoption curves to base these baseless forecasts. Show ANYTHING other than a magic eight ball.

The fact that the Tesla battery in Australia with "only" 129MWh reduced gird service cost by 90% is very encouraging. Batteries are just that much quicker to respond than any peaker plant. So they take most of the profit. This technology is disruptive.

Tesla would be rolling in his grave screaming " you fools"! Big profits? It's overpriced junk taking up space for no apparent reason. It definitely will create more wealth and power. But not where it's needed. Elon is no smarter than the average bear, he"s a role play, he's no God. My opinion, theory whatever you wanna call.

I think it's a little overly ambitious to assume that in 2021 sales will grow by 100%. Not saying it's impossible, but even increasing sales by 50% is a fantastic milestone.

Solar electric is not advisable on just any existing roof. Sales people will never address that, for fear of loosing a sale. Trees near the house will only be mentioned after equipment is installed and their shading is killing 90+% of predicted production. Slope angles and orientation of roof and house are never mentioned by the salesman. The facts are real for solar and with a perfect install Solar electric systems are a very good investment with paybacks in 6 or less years with tax of cash incentives. The numbers don't like . Utilities put out a lot of wrong information so home owners won't eliminate their $200 a month ($2,400 a year) electric bills. If your power bill is $200 a month, how many years will it take for a $10,000 system to pay for itself? However, if your property has big trees, are they going to shade your panels increasing the pay back time line?

The only issue with the Powerwall is that it requires a connection to the grid and is not yet compatible with off grid systems. I understand why this is but the current off grid storage solutions tend to cost a lot more for the same storage capacity and system life span. As for your expectations, I think 50% is doable but it will take some MAJOR news at the Battery Investor Day to make a 100% growth rate for storage feasible while also expanding vehicle production and introducing storage heavy products like the Semi, Roadster 2.0 and Cybertruck Tri-motor.

Social conditing! Our corporate slave masters have had a death grip on our electorate for a very long time, our infrastructure is primitive by design relative to protecting market share for the usual oligarchs. There is absolutely no reason why it should be stuck using the antiquated corporate infrastructure being used today. We need to use alternative green energy sources, we need to invest heavily in a Hyperloop system that is nationwide. I can't wait to tell the airlines to kiss my ass, I cant wait to
sit in a seat that is comfortable and spacious. The main reason why we don't have the technologies is because of the utility and airline lobby. Corporate greed is destroying this country by opposing any and all competition. These corporate parasites will sit by and continue to poison the planet in the name of profits while stifling any company that poses a threat to their market share. Usually, technology makes huge advances every 100 yrs or so, today we have the ability to make the hard choices for change, but to do so affects the power and wealth of slave masters. The best thing to do I think is for people to go
out and build new cities by simply mandating all construction to be green. let the parasite feed upon themselves. New cities is where the future is even if the smaller cities offer incentives for green building then maybe people will relocate there.

Great video! Very informative and scenic to watch. However, there's an angle to Tesla Energy that I thought I'd hear about but didn't. Isn't Tesla Energy also looking into allowing residential installation of solar and battery to work together across regions to sell excess power to those who want green power? Here in northern Virginia, there are a lot of huge power-hungry data centers that I assume would love to purchase that excess power. Is this a viable business model that Telsa is looking at doing?
