How much of my physical TBR can I read in one week + book club!

I’ve been reading Kristin Hannah books since probably 2008 and I absolutely love them. She is an auto-buy author for me. Before the Netflix show was even released I would recommend it and True Colors to anyone and everyone. I need to reread both of them and maybe finish watching the Netflix series. I am so glad you enjoyed her writing.

I actually had to google what “smash cake” meant. I feel so old. 😂 The only smash cake I’ve ever heard of before was when you give your little one-year-old their own cake that they can smash to bits and get it all over their face. Apparently that’s not what it means anymore. 😂

That’s how I felt about The Great Alone, which was my first Kristen Hannah book. She really is such a great writer.

So many of Kristin Hannah’s books tug at your emotions! Firefly lane definitely made me cry the most out of the ones I’ve read so far. The only other one I shed actual tears for was the great alone (so good) and I was close with basically every other one I’ve read. Slowly making my way through her back list!

I think your reaction is very typical for one of her books. I’ve read one and I just can’t bring myself to read another yet because I know I’ll be a blubbering mess, even though they are amazing reads🤣

Kristin Hannah is incredible! The Great Alone is an emotional train wreck and the nightingale is a modern classic for a reason!

Fire fly lane I’m certain altered my brain chemistry, it’s just so beautiful and tragic but also relatable.

Very weird that Firefly Lane is out of print at the moment - it's reprinting; the normal original cover (the tv tie in cover is now out of print indefinitely) - hopefully it's back on shelves before Christmas because it's always one of my go to recs for people when shopping in the bookstore I work at!!
And please read "Fly Away" as it continues the story....promise you won't regret it

The Mistborn series is one of my absolute favorites! You should definitely read them all at some point. There are three in this trilogy then there is another trilogy set 300 years in the future following diffrent characters but in the same world.

I started Kingdom of Ash yesterday and I have been absolutely sobbing through this I’m so terrified for it to end

I felt the same way about Sanderson’s Stormlight Archive! I put The Way of Kings off for so long but finally started it this year and I’m already on the third book in the series, I’ve become obsessed haha! And Kristin Hannah’s books always make me think and feel all the things, she’s so good at creating real characters and bringing out so many complicated emotions ❤️ These are two of my favorite authors so I’m so happy you loved both of these books!! And the book club celebration is so cute 😍📚🎉

With the Mistborn series, you are boasting like millions of people boast about Brandon Sanderson. I am a high school librarian in the states, and I have dozens of students who only want to read Sanderson because of how much they love him. He is beloved where I live.

There is show for Firefly Lane and it is so good but absolutely wrecked me. I also understand your love and obsession for the fast and furious series, love it so much
