MI:2 was over the top at all times with too little substance, weak cast and characters and too long, the only one in the series not at the level of the rest.

Funny enough I had never seen any MI movies before. I started watching them 1 by 1 and after watching one, I’d watch that movie’s segment in this video. Thanks so much for the history of the development of this series. It helps me view them as though I’ve been keeping up with the franchise for years instead of weeks.

Last MI I saw was 2. I guess I've been missing out.

Hope I don’t get blasted for this but why is there a warning for Scientology. Have we really gotten to the point where we need to state what we do and don’t support in order to talk about a franchise?

I feel that this is the only franchise where a new feeling to every sequel is celebrated. Which is kinda sad because as film enthusiasts and a person studying film, franchise films where their sequels and additional films have a different distinct feel to them is so creative and it gets creative juices flowing through the films production and make the movie seem to be more or less an original piece itself even though it has elements and characters from a previous film.

I loved the first movie. The series lost me with Cruise riding a motorcycle on its front wheel. That’s physically impossible because the power comes from the back wheel alone.

Absolutely PHENOMENAL video, what a fascinating ride, THANK YOU! My first exposure to the franchise was Fallout in 2018, not in the cinema unfortunately but watching it at home, and it completely blew my mind. I immediately fell in love with the franchise and it's been such a joy to watch and rewatch all the other movies over the years since. I absolutely loved Dead Reckoning and I'm EAGERLY anticipating Final Reckoning in a few months, can't believe it's almost here!

"Ilsa is never sexualized"....I would say it's never done in any kind of disrespectful way...but her hiking her leg up when she is in the dress, her swimwear....plenty of her screen time is devoted to how gorgeous she is.

Jim shot Claire because she had developed feelings towards Ethan and was trying to convince Jim to just take the money and run. He saw that as betrayal, that's why he shot her.

I absolutely love Fallout. The action is great and the cinematography is beautiful and the last 45 minutes is some of the best suspense and cinema ever. But my personal favorite MI film will always be Ghost Protocol. The team in incredible, fleshed out, and given a lot to do, the suspense and action in Russia with the ambush, Ethan's escape and the Kremlin infiltration in pure Mission Impossible greatness, the Dubai sequence is tense with an excellent chase scene and the ending fight with Ethan and the main bad guy in the vertical car park is genius.

My favorite action franchise. I don't even like the 1st 3 that much. The funny thing is there's 4 more that make it my favorite and a 5th this weekend.
