The trail to the Veliko Škrčko Jezero (lake) is the easiest in the Durmitor National Park, Montenegro.

This is the view from the car park where the trail starts, at the foot of a nondescript hill in Dobri Do, at Šarban.

There is enough space only for a handful of cars and there is a big "frame" (2x4 meters) for photos.

Nonetheless, there is an official guard there, charging hikers (and picture takers that are not planning to hike) €3 per head.

If you want to avoid paying, park your car just around the corner and walk up out of the guard's sight.
