Nightmare Minions are good, the illustration was really cool.
Storywise, i would have let Gru live long enough to see his loved ones die one after another to make him suffer and in the end, end his story.

Rugrats... well, in never watched that, or liked the style... but you could have "blackfaced" him with the shadow of his hat, since the light came from top, his face would have been in the dark anyways. Not really the light shade it has in the final image.
(and the smoke should have layed on top of the barrel, so it looks more like it comes out of it, now it looks as if it is behind the gun, or a cloud way in the back :) )


Chucky, my favourite Horror characters at the time being. Back in the 90 it was Freddy, sure, there weren't many chucky movies available, since the were forbidden here... same with Friday. So i was only able to see the nightmare movies.

I believe a lot of people only stick around to see the cute ones turn gritty because, in many cases, that involves taking a simplistic cartoon and adapting it into a more detailed and stylistically unique version (bluey into a space marine being a perfect example).
