The thumbnail of Lilo Pelekai and Samara Morgan got me here. I found out that both Lilo and Samara were both played by Daveigh Chase and what’s crazy is that Daveigh Chase was Hawaiian 🌺 girl by day ☀️ and reanimated corpse by night 🌙.
Now whenever I hear Samara speak, I’m always thinking of Lilo; it would be funny if Lilo made a videotape with scary images and Mertle watches this tape and gets a scary phone call 📞 and what she hears is “7 days”, call me mean but I honestly think it would be funny.

Honestly, as a little boy when this movie came out, I kept making the argument that Nani is Lilo’s mom because she’s the one taking care of her and I never heard of an older sibling being a parent to their child sibling before. I was 8 years old.

But I’ll tell you one thing I’ve known since childhood… Nani is hot in crop tops and bikinis. 👙😍

Can you blame Lilo and the people of the Hawaiian islands for being resentful of all of the haulis who visit their home?

When I found out that Lilo and Samara were played by the same young girl, I was shocked!

A joke I didn't notice till I was older was when Lilo prayed "for an angel, the best one Heaven's got," and then cutting to Stitch crashing into the island and laughing maniacally.

The best part of this film is the whole reason why the movie even happens: THE ALIENS THINK MOSQUITOS ARE AN ENDANGERED SPECIES!!! That, and it’s also hilarious how Earth is located in the alien’s Area 51 xD

Heck, I think the plot of an episode of the Lilo and Stitch series was that he doesn't want to get married. I know that he said he doesn't want to be married at all, but, come on...

I always thought that bubbles was a former member of the men in Black. Or the very least in under cover agent.

The theory is Lilo forgot to feed Pudge the fish that Tuesday as it was raining and Tuesday as also the day Lilo and Nani’s parents died.

That’s why she’s obsessed with feeding Pudge every Tuesday.

I'm ace, so physical appeal wasn't (still isn't) really a thing for me, but even as a kid I thought David ruled for how kind and supportive he was. I was also 100% on-board with her and David together despite already being bored AF of romance B plots, lol!

If anyone told me that Daveigh Chase who plays Lilo in the 2002 version of "Lilo and Stitch" also played Samara Morgan in "The Ring" I would have thought they were joking. But apparently it was true. And I was so SHOCKED! (To discover that it was true). I would have never guessed in a MILLION Years that the evil little Samara Morgan and Sweet little Lilo were played by the same girl. Saying that the revelation of those two characters being played by the Same actress blew my mind would be the biggest understatement of the century. But it only makes me love both "The Ring" and "Lilo and Stitch" (2002 Version) all the more.

Love finding out about those details ! I saw Lilo and Stitch only a few years ago ,as an adult and I instantly felt that deeply moved by it after having dismissed it when it came out (when I was a young teenager) as a movie about Hawaïan cliches and surfing . It’s so much more than that !

Not really a “detail”, but Chris Sanders thought we’d take Lilo’s cute-lil’-weirdness for granted right out of the gate without explaining WHY we should be sympathetic with her ruining Nani’s attempt to get a job and protect her family, that when Nani is singing farewell to Lilo, and there’s not a dry eye in the house, I only sat there thinking “Y’see? Maybe if you’d OPENED THE F***IN’ DOOR when she’d told you, duh?? 🤦‍♂️”

Last year I went into a five below and bought one of those mystery figures(don’t really know the proper term) for stitch. The cashier laughed at me and said, “that’s what my first graders watch.” She was probably only 10 years older than me. I think a lot of things are ageless. Was good when I was a kid, and it’s still good now. Now that I think about it, it was probably because I bought a figure. Yeah, she probably wouldn’t have said a word if it were a t-shirt or something like that.

I was not a fan of this film because I struggle with intense arguments between family in movies. But now, I may want to see this film again.

Me and husband seen it today we loved it as a fan since the original I enjoyed it alot I do have nitpicks but the don't bother me so ..I'll say just go see it for yourself and judge it by your own eyes you will either hate it or love it or just think it ok

When Nani sings “Aloha Oe” after you learn of their parent’s death it’s just too much. 😭

OK, you hit me with something.
I've always said that this is the best Disney movie because it's not about some dumb girl who is looking for a prince.
It's about two very screwed up creatures who save each other.
But... I never realized. Nani is finding her prince in David.
And David is an Awesome prince (for all the reasons you said).
Still the best Disney movie ever.

Just watched lilo and stitch. I thought it was really good.

Then they ruined it with the remake... Which I still believe was made by Hamsterviel.
After all it showed hate towards Jumba, ignored Gantu, and only barely skimmed stuff in regards of Lilo and her home.
It works.
