I used to do this exact thing when i was younger.

Nothing more deadly than a man that knows his rifle.

It's not like anybody is burning through hundreds of rounds of 9mm or 223/556 right now anyway. Air guns are fun, the ammo still cheap and plentiful, usually don't require hearing protection, and helps to scratch that itch everybody is starting to develop on their trigger fingers.
