This was helpful, thanks!
ОтветитьRuth’s Diner, yo
ОтветитьLeaving for SLC this afternoon, and this is the best travel guide I've found! You get straight to the point and focus on the most accessible spots in the city, which is exactly what I was looking for. Thanks for keeping the emphasis on the city itself!
ОтветитьThank you 🙏🏽
ОтветитьYou did a really good job. I enjoyed your style very much. I am moving to Utah in a year I hope, and I appreciate this positive video about Utah. Thank you.
ОтветитьFirst KFC was in Corbin Kentucky. Their first franchise was in SLC. There is even a museum that n Corbin.
ОтветитьDude, I've been traveling here and there for 22 years. SLC is hands down without a shadow of a doubt, the worst city that I've ever been!
ОтветитьThey must have a lot of tourism.
ОтветитьSo theres nothing to do except museums and hikes in Utah :( they gotta step it up haha. at least their local beauty kind of makes up for it
ОтветитьThis is awesome!!!! I fell in love with your other channel, California through my lens, and it gets me so excited that you have another channel for other amazing places! Thanks so much for all of the inspiration through the years. So stoked to have found this.
ОтветитьWhat a great list!! I had no idea KFC was started there- and that library is breathtaking!! Thanks!!
Ответитьworst town i ever been in people are just ugly and so is the town. drug addicts and every other kind of losers abound!
ОтветитьYou left out the homeless people at the Rio Grande.
ОтветитьYou can marry a Mormon girl and move up to the Avenues, if you pay your tithing. Otherwise, you will go to hell or Tooele.
ОтветитьMy mother worked in the State Capitol for several years. She was on the top floor under the rotunda. Her boss was a neighbor of ours. He fired her because she refused to join the Mormon Church.
ОтветитьTop thing to do is leave the state. Garbage state, bigoted people. Boycott.
ОтветитьJust came from your live after asking about Utah and man i dont know how i missed this! This helps us a ton in our upcoming trip

ОтветитьWell Im from Oz and Im blowed if I know how you guys can pour maple syrup over everything..its a sweet thing so why pour it over eggs, chicken or bacon??? Always fascinating to see what other countries eat. Mind you if you do one of our big train trips here I gather they feed the travellers wildlife like crocodile, emu, kangaroo, deer etc etc...while kangaroo is in many supermarkets these days there is no way I will eat Skippy, Bambi, Rudolph and the like. Its beef, pork, chicken or fish for me (lamb being too expensive) thanks for the education Josh.
Ответитьgoing off #9, check out ave maria grotto in kentucky

ОтветитьI really enjoy your vids I am from Australia and my wife and I have followed you’re route66 vid and now we are doing your loneliest road trip
ОтветитьIf you're in the area between The Capitol and Temple Square, the houses they used for the film Halloween for Michael Meyers and Laurie are in this neighborhood. Most of the film Halloween was shot around UT. I lived a few blocks away from where they shot Meyers' school. Lots and LOTS of film history here.
ОтветитьIf you like performing arts we've also go the Utah Symphony which is top tier in the country. There's the Tabernacle Choir (internationally recognized) and the Symphony at Temple Square is equally as good. Then there is Ballet West, a top ballet company renowned world wide as well. Among many other groups. The symphony does lots of out door concerts in the summer months. A fun one is up at Sundance Ski Resort where they do a concert in an amphitheater on the mountain side. Hell, Sundance film festival is in Park City. Robert Redford's home is just across the street from the ski resort Sundance. Quite a few celebrities have homes in Salt Lake or Park City, a few have actually moved here to live and own restaurants or bars in town. You'd probably be shocked at just how many movies and tv shows are filmed here, constantly. to the point where they put out calls for extras all the time for productions.
ОтветитьThank bro great video!
Ответитьgreat review!
ОтветитьActually im pretty sure KFC started in Kentucky but UT has the very first franchised KFC
ОтветитьThank you for this great video. Living near Portland and Seattle, I forgot what America looks like.
ОтветитьThat lamb gave my son nightmares for 2 years.

ОтветитьYou forgot Wendover #1 spot hahaha 🤣😂
ОтветитьThank you, great tour!
ОтветитьI just watched this, and have already subscribed to your channel, which I have enjoyed.
As a former resident of Utah, USU - Logan, Utah, U of U - Dorms - SLC, and Alta Ski Lifts - Resident seasonal employee for 1982-1983 ski season, I would also like to recommend Alta - during the Summer, as I had a rental car and drove up to Alta, Albion Parking Lot, and the views and flowers are so beautiful. Also, I understand The Rustler Lodge has luncheons, as also at Snowbird, which I believe you can ride the Tram off season as well. Speaking of Trams/I saw there may be a gondola/tram going from the base of Little Cottonwood Canyon to the top, great for skiers who don't want to deal with parking, and help with the crowds on the roads, and the air pollution. I think that is a great idea.
I have also been to the Hanson Planetarium, back when I lived in SLC in the dorms. It is now the Clark Planetarium. It is located at 110 S 400 W Salt Lake City Utah 84101. My other favorite hangout is Trolley Square, shopping, restaurants, one in particular is the Spaghetti Factory, on the second Floor, there is a Trolley with seating and the seats are from head and foot boards of beds, really interesting decor, and the best Spoumoni ice cream. The first ski trip my family and I took in Salt Lake City, we went and ate there at the Spaghetti Factory, and any time I visit SLC, I always have at least one meal there, Spaghetti and their ice cream.
I have been to the Beehive House (Brigham Young's house) as well at Temple Square and the Tabernacle, where you can hear a pin drop. The acoustics is so awesome in that Tabernacle, and at Christmas time it is beautiful. There are so many places that are new since my last visit in Spring of 1999. (August 1999 there was a tornado that went through SLC, near the Salt Palace), and I also been there, on a ski trip and they also had a RV Show then. Love SLC, If I get a chance to go back, I would definitely visit those museums and ride the Traxx that was built after my last trip out there. I also would go back up Big Cottonwood Canyon (I skied up there once), and I have also been to Park City, another neat area as well. That Airport is new since then as well. I was there in the Summer of 1996 the 100 Year Anniversary of the State becoming a state, and was there for the Pioneer Day Parade, and took a trip up to Logan, for the Festival of The West being held at Utah State University at that time. It is not on USU grounds anymore, but at a farm out in Cache Valley. I would recommend Logan, Utah, and taking a trip in to Logan Canyon, ending up at Bear Lake. That is beautiful up there.
Great Video, and I will keep those places in mind, if I get out to the Salt Lake area again.
We did several of your ideas today! The Capital was really cool! I liked the views from the top of the Library! We even ate at Caputos! Yum! Going to Eva’s bakery and Natural history Museum tomorrow!!! Thank you for all of your ideas! The Tabernacle/Temple Square area is under construction so could not see much but took pictures anyway 😂!
ОтветитьWhat about Boston Josh ????
ОтветитьGreat video! Well def check some places out
