১৯৭৩ সালে বিশ্বের অন্যতম এ শান্তি পদক প্রাপ্তির মধ্যদিয়ে আন্তর্জাতিক স্বীকৃতি পায়, জাতির পিতার জীবন কর্ম। এ মহান অর্জনের ফলে জাতির পিতা পরিণত হন, বঙ্গবন্ধু থেকে বিশ্ববন্ধুতে।
