As someone who played Nintendo and Steam games throughout my life (mostly Nintendo), Steam has definitely become a way better platform than Nintendo, especially now. They seem to actually care about their fans needs and wants. Nintendo just became greedy, they don't care about any of their fans opinions, or the quality of their stuff, only if people buy what they have. It's only business to them now. I wish it never became this way, but it did. people need to understand that they don't care about us anymore. Please don't buy Switch 2, or just return it if you already got it. They've become lazy with quality, and I doubt they'll make an effort to make things better. At least for now until people complain enough... just please get/stick with the Switch 1 instead.
ОтветитьBonjour, vous vivez au Québec ?
ОтветитьThe slow wifi on switch 2 is due to some default internet setting you have to disable that was not a thing on the original switch. It was called like “ipv 6” or some shit like that. Turning that off dramatically improved wi fi speeds. Fucking insane that it’s on by default
ОтветитьYou have a funny accent and a very soothing voice. I really enjoyed just listening to you speak!
ОтветитьDesktop mode, I'd say, is not something the Switch 2 doesn't have, it's something it doesn't need. The Steam Deck has it, because some aspects of that device need it, and it's clearly not an ideal solution. For a gaming handheld, everything should be available through simple controller input, really, and the Steam Deck still fails there, requiring the crutch for hackermans work. It's getting there over time, and I love my Steam Deck OLED, but clearly, if you want to get the most out of a Steam Deck, you'll be spending much more time tinkering than with the Switch. In many ways, the devices simply target different users. For me, the Steam Deck isn't really portable, it's my desktop gaming PC, whereas I consider the Switch 2 as a device I can always take on trips much more easily. So much slimmer and lighter.
ОтветитьI really don't get people scratching a Steam Deck's or Switch's screens. They're either being played, or they're inside a sleeve with padding. Who the heck would add some loose screws to their travel case for such a device?!
Ответитьlul ... why are you mentioning hall effect thumbsticks in a comparison with steam deck, when that has classic ones as well? "but you can replace them..." well, yeah, and so will you be able to for the Switch 2 in the near future. it's not like those hardware makers would cater to the Steam Deck exclusively for those replacement parts. After all, Nintendo sold as many Switch 2 in 4 days as Valve sold Steam Decks over its lifetime, basically.
Ответитьi can't stand the faggy music in the beginning, you are a child
ОтветитьGood Video - one important aspect was forgotten: Input Lag. Switch 2 has not fixed the already known issues of the Switch 1.
When it comes to emulation, using the virtual Nintendo games on the Switch - input lag can go up to even 6 frames ... which is very high.
Counterparts on the Deck running in EmuDeck will have like 3 frames.
Furhermore many Unity based titles always felt a lot more laggy on the Switch compared to their SteamDeck counterparts
I own a Switch 2 and I'm looking forward to purchase a Steam Deck in order to emulate older titles.
ОтветитьAnother really great video ! Are you planning on picking up the Legion Go S and comparing that to the deck? I'm currently thinking about getting the Steam Deck OLED but feel like i might be a bit late to the party and should just get something else, I have a PS5 but want the deck for Emulation and portable gaming (potentially also using Chiaki) - What are your thoughts on that?
ОтветитьIf I ever get a switch 2 it’ll be after they offer the oled option. Although if they continue the price gouging in games, I will not get anything they release.
ОтветитьPeople talking about dont spread negativity.
BRUH hes reviewing it so people who arent sure if they want to buy it or not can get an idea.
If yall already have it or know youre gonna get it get outta the comments.
Probably the best video I've seen on switch 2 so far. Good stuff.
ОтветитьI agree, it's shit
Ответитьlike the oled switch but wifi range is tiny & it's too bad one needs to connect to the internet once a week to play NSO games. I was living off grid, no wifi middle of nowhere & switch wanted to connect to make sure my NSO was still active, couldn't play retro games
ОтветитьI personally have both and I personally think the Switch 2 is a more elegant solution for a hybrid gaming device. The problem with the Steam Deck is that you have to adjust settings when going between docked and handheld mode so you can't just grab and go like you can with the Switch. The image quality looks better to me in both docked and handheld modes on the Switch when compared to the Deck in both scenarios. If you have the opportunity to look at both in action, that would be a good way to tell which you personally prefer but they are both great systems.
ОтветитьIf i had to pick one. It be the switch 2. I love my steam deck but to be honest i haven't touch it in a long time bc i have other ways to play pc titles.
ОтветитьObviously for profits to release a new version later, but it is such a bummer that the switch 2 did not come with oled and smaller bezels. Hoping the joycons are better than switch 1, had so much stick drift
ОтветитьUnfortunately the video conclusion is wrong. Not all games on console are optimized and handhelds are especially prone to this, where even several of Nintendo's own games were poorly optimized on the Switch.
At the same time, Steam has an official list of Verified games and those are the only games you see on the store by default. So you can just lean back and not spend any time tinkering or whatever
No one buys proprietary hardware because of the price, they get them to play the exclusive titles
Ответитьas someone that never brought an original switch, im looking forward to being able to play games that were apparently incredible from the first switch
ОтветитьCan You review the legion go please 🙏🏾 because I want to buy it and you are a very honest reviewer so I would like your opinion
ОтветитьLMFAO BRO IS PLAYING STRETCHED HAHAHA why do low1q people buy ultra wides lmfao
Ответитьcan you do a one ui7 video
ОтветитьWith compatible games, the SW2 HD rumble are leagues above the Deck's haptic rumble. But the trackpad's haptic are good tho.
ОтветитьI keep thinking how much the steam deck costs vs the switch but then I look at all the games in my steam library, some look pretty good for remote play. Switch games having sky rocketed too. Only good thing with switch is the reselling of games but when the physical copies never go on sale only digital things swing back to steam with better sales and selections... One thing that wasn't mentioned is the capability of multiplayer? Switch can easily pull off 2 controllers and give them to 2 people, or even add more. Steam seems more a solo console.
Ответитьsteamdeck doesn't use hall effect either.
ОтветитьI have Steam Deck and Switch, I enjoy the best of both worlds
Will eventually pick up a Switch 2 when there’s OLED version and a selection of games worth buying the system for
just cant play on my steam deck it s blurry
Ответитьtech yt still yet to top your color grading
ОтветитьMaybe i get one later on, when some games are released. Not the biggest mario kart guy and i would love an oled screen, like on my sd. But it looks not bad at all, except the battery life.
ОтветитьYou are wrong not all switch 1 games are compatible with the switch 2 so do your homework before posting a video and stop giving false information nintendo even put a list online about games not compatible so far. The steam deck doesn't consume to much battery on sleep mode so another wrong information Sounds like you deck was lended to you. You don't need a switch 2 to play nintendo games have you heard of emulators? Sounds like this was a paid commercial lol
ОтветитьAs a deck user this is a downgrade
ОтветитьWatch the Jerry rig torture test. The joycon cannot be broken it just pops off 😂
Ответитьdont worry about your steam account being hacked, see the good side! the drone footge will be entertaining
ОтветитьSteam Deck sales in 4 years: 5 Mio.
Switch 2 in 4 days: 30 Mio.
Dude sounded like he just wanted to hate the switch 2.
ОтветитьI own steam deck and own switch 2 and I have to say I’m very impressed with the switch 2
ОтветитьFor Deck 2 they really need to do something about those touch pads, theyre ugly and make the Deck much larger than it needs to be. Either incorporate the mouse control into the screen and remove them completely or come up with a better design.
ОтветитьPut it this way you can't make a nintendo full time gamer to understand what a pc gamer wants on a handheld there to different things
Ответитьwait switch 2 supports ultrawide monitors?
ОтветитьNS2 for exclusives... Steamdeck i use mainly for streaming PC or PS5 & Xbox.. Stemdeck NS emulation aint great and you'll spend hella time trying to optimize it
ОтветитьMan, talking about hall effect even though the steam deck doesn't have it too
ОтветитьThe screen has a shatter proof film you remove that u destroy the screen look up stuff and know what ur doing before making a video please
ОтветитьI’ve never installed anything on steam deck it’s so easy
ОтветитьHow about switch 2 as a functioning human being?
Ответить
