I can see the argument of both sides of the coin on this one.

In pa. On the petition it does ask if you have been convicted of a felony or a criminal offense. And you are asked if you consent to a criminal background check. If you look at most grand lodge charters it states that you cannot “be admitted into freemasonry if you have been convicted of a crime involving moral turpitude”. It leaves to open to interpretation what “moral turpitude” actually is. I’m sure this alludes to the overal decentralization of the fraternity in general. Just an FYI
