Are You married😍
ОтветитьWhere did you get your strap from, or what brand is it? I LOVE CHECKERS, all of my guitars have a checker strap, but yours is wide...LOVE IT😍😎👍🏽💯🏁
ОтветитьIt's Am7 in the verse. DEFINITELY NOT Am
It's Am7!!
Thanks! Lauren thank you so much for the Landslide finger picking lesson! It helped me get started for finger playing. Also thanks for the Zager guitar email. I will be buying one from them (I'm from NE too). Best regards.
ОтветитьThank you Lauren
Great vid lesson!
I play this already, but its very clear for beginners 🎸👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Great stuff, love the rhythm of this song. Thank you for teaching us.
ОтветитьLauren you are just awesome
ОтветитьG/B means it's a G major with a B in the bass
ОтветитьMan your singing is awesome!
ОтветитьIts actually a Am7 chord meaning the G string is left open when fretting that chord. The G string isnt fretted at all during the verse, its left open to ring using Cmaj, G/B and Am7.
ОтветитьAwesome lesson. Not only are you a great guitar player, but you also have a beautiful voice! Thank you for sharing this.
ОтветитьAm I the only one struggling with the chorus? I think I’m doing everything according to your instructions but I keep coming up one measure short when I put lyrics with it, even when I play with the recording.
ОтветитьLauren, you have a gift for breaking down a song into an easy-to-follow format. Thank you.
ОтветитьNice job :-)
However, I would like if all you gifted guitar lesson producers played the end result right from the start, so we know what we're in for 🙏
Awesome lesson. Your teaching method makes this possible for us mainly strumming players. Thank You so much for breaking down these songs to a simple level. Your Sounds of Silence video was the first time I tried finger picking and I was able to do it. Keep bringing us joy with the wonderful lessons.
Ответить👏
ОтветитьBravo Bravo Applause
ОтветитьWow. Great job. Thank you. You sound great 😊
ОтветитьI’ve been playing guitar for over 15 years but you have the honor of teaching me my very first finger picking song. I’m struggling over here but I’m starting to get the hang of it! Thanks a lot for uploading
ОтветитьEasily the best tutor/ tutorial I’ve come across. Very easy to understand and pick up. Superb.
ОтветитьGreat teacher with a great voice
ОтветитьPerfect nice teacher Grazie 🙏
ОтветитьBrilliantly clear !
ОтветитьHi Lauren, Have you seen this guiter. The Police - Every Breath You Take
ОтветитьOne of the best - if not The best - tutorials of this song on the web. If I had a hat, I took it off ;-)
ОтветитьThanks!
ОтветитьI’ve been working on this fingerpicking pattern for about a month after seeing this video, and it’s been great. The pattern is now automatic and I now have the confidence that I can learn any fingerpicking pattern. So this video has been very helpful for me. Thank you.
ОтветитьYou know these tutorials grab my attention far better if they start with a little demo of the piece.
Thanks
I’ve been going through a real rut with my guitar playing, it’s not my first instrument so sometimes I can let it slide (no pun intended) then this came up in my suggested videos and it gave me a whole new song that I’ve always loved but never considered learning and was a fun wee exercise for me that has helped me rediscover a flame for my guitar. Cheers from Scotland 🏴❤️
ОтветитьFantastic! Thanks!
ОтветитьI think I have come up with a new song - fret buzz!
ОтветитьWhich Taylor Guitar is that? Its beautiful. (324 builders?)
ОтветитьJust fyi the “Latin terms” for PIMA are just the names for the fingers in Spanish!
Great video but as a native speaker I always find it funny when people assume they are super old, archaic terms.
Ur the best❤
ОтветитьYou have a gift for teaching, keep up the great work! Subscribed
Ответить❤❤❤❤
Ответитьyou're the best
Ответитьpretty sure T I M is thumb, index, middle.
ОтветитьYou DO realize that when you play it slowly you play it differently than when you're playing it fast? You keep saying the thumb is supposed to go on string "5-4-5-4", but when you play it fast you keep going "5-5-4-5"...
Ответитьsomething I do instead of playing the entire chords for the chorus, is I just play
6 string, 6th fret (this is the G chord)
6th string, 5th fret (this is the D/F# chord)
4th string, 5th fret (this is the Em chord)
We are not picking the strings for the rest of the chord, so no need to play the entire chord out.
Lauren, you should give up trying to teach. You really aren't very good at it. Take up Golf or something!
ОтветитьI hear people say this a lot, “I tried playing guitar. It didn't work.” It usually means it was too hard initially, so I gave up.
I came up with my own advice for people who are working hard and sticking with something until they achieve (not just find) success: “You have to tolerate being very bad along the path to joyous success. There are far more former guitar players than there are good guitarists who plowed thru being very bad.”
The song was written about Nick's extreme devotion to Fleetwood Max as youth diminished in her appearance, to the exclusion to all other pathways to yielding happiness, success, and fame. Landslide is a rather sad song suggesting one's singular choice as an alternative to committed family life & motherhood (no judgment intended). Joni Mitchell, Linda Ronstadt & Barbara Streisand made similar choices. Loneliness in old age may bring misgivings after the woof & warp of huge career success, yet their contributions are for public enjoyment in our daily struggles being of more or less equal contributions as well. God's blessings are unique & cost a sacrificial decision from each of us as we evolve spiritually. From my experience, God the Father's absolute truth needs to be where the landslide of aging brings us, ie., discover of the need for a Savior in Jesus Christ. Death's consequences demands it. ---age73, 45 yrs marriage. Their individual music has been a grateful gift!
ОтветитьThanks Lauren. Never figured I would be able to do this. 4 great things about this video is the Ninja Turtles, The 69 Camaro, the Duo Jet and you. Well done, at 67 I'm playing Landslide
ОтветитьVery nice job, Lauren. 👍👍👍
ОтветитьGreat lesson, I appreciate you , good explaining all the way through.
ОтветитьThanks for a brilliant lesson
ОтветитьDude this one is good.
ОтветитьNicely done, very clear explanation
