lmao loved it. thank you...needed that today
Ответитьhere in N.E. Georgia we are using CB radio big time for relief commo in and out of N.C. and T.N. we have guys on the mountains with a setup that covers several miles. and not sure where you are but CB radio is very much used in our off road fun around here in the mountains UHF/VHF dont work worth a crap in the hills and valleys and hollers, . So just because CB isnt used in your part of the country doesnt mean its like that everywhere else..what we need is people to get out those fancy go boxes they have for looks it seems and get to the mountains to help these people..as of oct 8th at 1300 est there is still 100`s missing..
Ответитьgmrs and cb are the winners for society collapse event. hams exist so that when shtf happens, government knows where to set up communications centers by the ham user's fcc call signs registrations database and they will use their building and equipment and in the meantime the ham people keep those frequencies in use for them.
ОтветитьI hope President can make an SSB 11 meters hand held. SSB offers many more fars.
ОтветитьI have a CB and a GMRS radio in my truck, in my area there is not much traffic but if Shtf happens, I believe it will be a source of information
ОтветитьGot a sub with the weak men comment in the beginning.... facts bro.
ОтветитьNice video. For the record, the CB band was a Ham band way way back. Also I am shocked to see so many Ham radio operators saying good things about CB radio. At least they don't forget where they started. But to subscribe to a CB channel..? Now that's a taboo, right?
Ответитьfok I already bought BAOFENG. and now!!! you are talking CB can reach 1000miles range!!!! you ar eEVIL
ОтветитьYou got perty hands boy!
ОтветитьMy go-to radio system is CB for many reasons. Being in Canucklestan, it is the best bag for your buck by FARS (see wut I did thar?) and the easiest and simplest and cheapest to get newbs into who are unfamiliar with radio. If you get one with SSB, you masively boost your range, and I figure that being that it's old tech running on AM mostly, most of Big Brother's hired goons won't have access to it at least initially.
ОтветитьI'm a ham but I also have CB and GMRS. I agree with NotaRubicon. There are probably way more CBs than Ham or GMRS out there. I plan to eventually get a unit capable of SSB and FM just to cover all bases.
ОтветитьNow a days it seems that mostly weirdos are on the radio.
ОтветитьAs both a redneck and a trucker, I do in fact use a cb.
ОтветитьThis is annoying
ОтветитьOhhh what with the hands can't concentrate on the message for the silly hands moments.
ОтветитьQuestion that I can’t figure out.
I used to drive semi trucks. All of them had CB radios.
One day, as I was driving, my Oakley sunglasses got a static shock. It was big. ((The metal “O” (Oakley sign) got shocked)).
I was driving when it happened. I didn’t touch the CB radio. However, the static shock I could see and hear.
Wow you have a boring way of delivering Information ZZzzz
ОтветитьGonna install one in my outback!!
ОтветитьI always hook up my Uniden CB when we travel, even though I have a 2 M/70cm. Ham radio in my car. I can listen to truckers and get a heads up if there is a traffic problem ahead.
ОтветитьLove the political comment on the Baofeng
ОтветитьYou forgot to mention the fact that as a CB radio operator you get to use cool lingo like "breaker breaker" , "18 wheeler", "good buddy", and "catch you on the flip flop."
ОтветитьDusted off my old Uniden radio, that I haven't used since about 1990. Hooking it up in my basement with a new DC to AC power converter. Antenna strapped to my chimney. Solar generator ready for when our grid goes down. Also a new Uniden for my truck, along with two Baofeng BF-F8HP ham handhelds. With a roof Ham radio antenna that fits the handhelds, I can "reach out" when the SHTF. I'm almost looking forward to the next plandemic. 😆
ОтветитьNo please hold my hand through every detail. 😅
ОтветитьI have a pair of these old ass GE 40 channel CB radio HT's
ОтветитьGet rid of the hands. Don't contribute anything and looks foolish
ОтветитьI have a radio in the truck and in the living room, it’s nice to be able to communicate with my locals and with the wife. If the hand computers turn off one day what will the people do?lol. The radio is not dead we’re in at and I’m getting the nieces and nephews involved which has gotten the whole family involved. Fun and convenient.
ОтветитьBack in the day when CB was popular almost everyone including my dad had one. There were a few people who had "Big" radios with linear amplifiers on them. Most people just used regular 4 watt or tuned radios maybe 8-10 watts and a power mic. I had fun and most people were fairly cool. Now it seems there are a bunch of A...h..s with huge radios just blocking the channels. Even when traveling it is hard to just get weather or road conditions from anyone. I do use CB or GMRS when traveling with a group and using 50 watts or so seems to get through. Maybe there are some areas of the country where CB is still viable, I just haven't heard it. Cell phones killed CB years ago. If SHTF I still have several. With thousands of them still out there it may help...
Ответитьlol here for research be4 I buy!! Where in some very scary times guys I just want to tell you guys to be safe and I love you all! Hope your heart receives that love
ОтветитьI'll just say one thing about cb FARS output..........linear amplifier.........😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮
ОтветитьThanks!
ОтветитьBuy into your corporate Masters....the hot sales hype by Cobra and President brand radio. Anyway, so your going to believe what someone says about something over a radio. The old saying is believe none of what you hear and half of what you see.
ОтветитьWho makes the very best hand held CB with all the bells and whistles, SSB, power, etc.? Thanks
Ответить2x playback speed
ОтветитьMany Thanks for info!
ОтветитьThe one thing that people talking about HAM radio seem to forget? A ham radio has to go through a REPEATER to get any real distance. If the REPEATER is FLOODED with hundreds of calls, then YOU AIN'T GOIN' NO WHERE!
ОтветитьIt's true!!!!😀
ОтветитьCB is the shit Man!!!! oh yeah do enjoy your channel and mono-log😀!!!!
ОтветитьCheck out the President Ronald CB. Unlock the 11 meter.
ОтветитьWonderful video i loved every second,i hung on your every word, you are a radio god.
ОтветитьMy grandpa has few base stations and I’m 19 getting into it I got a handheld but just ordered everything for a base station. He lives 14 miles from me so hopefully it reaches lol I’m in the country he’s in the city downtown
ОтветитьI loved the "Impeach Biden!" welcome screen.
ОтветитьSome say that CB radio is dead. I can’t understand why they say that. Wrong! I suppose that their assumptions are based on anecdotal evidence. Which is based on ignorance. CB radios are alive and selling pretty well. To the point that manufactures keep developing them and making them.
To say that CB radios suck because they transmit in AM only is an ignorant comment. And obviously whoever says that is ignorant about CB radios. That is because a while back the FCC approved for CB radios to transmit in FM mode too. The Randy II handheld CB radio is a great example. The Midland 75-822 also can transmit in AM or FM modes.
A search in Amazon reveals that CB radios are selling well. Obviously not every simgle model, but that is also true about GMRS radios. For example, the Randy II (AM/FM capable) has sold over 100 in the past month. I am sure that that number would be much higher if it didn’t cost 164 bucks. The Midland 75-822, has sold over 300 radios in the last month. The Cobra 29LX Pro, over 400 radios in the past month. The Uniden PRO401HH, over 300 radios in the past month. The Cobra HHRT50 Road Trip, over 500 radios in the past month. Should I keep going?
By comparison, some of the GMRS radios in Amazon have also sold in the 100’s, BUT, most of the big sellers come with a lot of accessories or sell in pairs. The BAOFENG GM-15 Pro have sold over 500 in the past month. But you get two radios and accessories for $50.99. Most of the GMRS radios are also sold at very cheap prices. Just don’t forget that you get what you pay for.
Bottom line is, if something doesn't’ meet your high standards or fill your needs, then move in to something else. Because CB radio is perfect from some. If the shoes don’t fit, don’t buy them. It will fit someone else’s feet.
I would travel all over with my mother in the 80's and she had that VERY SAME emergency CB radio kit from Radio Shack. That's awesome.
ОтветитьI’m here from the walking dead new fan of the franchise and I can tell you that show has made me more of a survivalist😂
