Introducing the OWC Envoy Express

Why can't the OWC Envoy Express get up to the 2800 MBps speeds? Other SSD Enclosures like ACASIS and Trebleet are able to get close to 2800 MBps which is the theoretical limit for Thunderbolt 3 SSDs?

Both my Acasis enclosures get 2800 r/w with either Samsung 990 PRO or 980 Pro 2 TB. My 2 OWC Express 4M2 enclosures get 2500 R/W with Samsung 980 PRO X 4. I am waiting for a drop in price to get 4 of a 4 TB NVME M.2 SSD to build a 16 TB setup. I use Apple Disc Utility for my RAID level 0. To transfer a 22 GB folder from my Seagate 8 TB dinosaur HD to my OWC 8 TB RAID took 2 minutes. To transfer the same folder from the OWC RAID to my Acasis enclosure with Samsunng 990 PRO 2 TB took 10 seconds on my Mac Studio Ultra. I love the OWC enclosures despite the lowly 2500 r/w!
