Jim Essery In Memoriam

That's Bob Lees a wonderful human being and a damn fine player... a very good Friend He was.

I can really tell some stories about ol Bob... before I learned to spell his namebackwards we were room mates.

We used to dine on Alaskan crab legs

my 1954 joe fender amp #54 was broken and Bob made a tube from a ball point pen and it worked,,, it was like a sl6 or some ungodly number..

Bob was my Friend .

I played with Jim before but it was a casual thing,,, he played harp well.,,, what a player Both of them were.

Good memories are all I have left... peace out

I always enjoyed talking with him and listening to him Play....Godspeed Jim!

I was there with Reverend Murphy after Big Bob Lies died...
Now Jim is Gone, very sad!~

Was just thinking about Jim Essery...I met him at Flagler Beach years ago...he was with Ace Moreland and another person and they were playing acoustic music outside of a bar...I struck up a conversation with them and learned that Jim had played with The Allman Brothers Band....and that Ace was friends with Steve Gains of Lynyrd Skynyrd...All these guys...great souls...sad to just learn that Jim has passed away....Ace has passed away...Gregg and Butch (Trucks) have passed away...GREAT JAM though - thanks for posting this!!!

Jim was my cousin. Played on two LP's with the Allman Brothers as well.

miss ya jimbo, we did a duo / band for the last two years he was around. great cook , miss those meatballs lol

My brother was a great entertainment. He played by ear. And never could read notes. Miss you so much bro. Love you. Until we meet again..
