I’ve been having Braxton Higgs for an hour or so at a time and I’m almost 36 weeks. My uterus feels really dense and tight for around an hour and then it’ll go away but it’ll come back. Is that normal? :) Thank you

When you say that normal birth can be at 37 weeks, does that mean after the 37th week or starting when the 37th week begins? I ask because I need to make a plane reservation to California for my first grandchild's birth. : D

Just found out what have been feeling is likely Braxton Hicks - i thought was bub pressing her butt or back really hard against the wall of my uterus, so that's what was feeling as a really hard, rock-like big lump. Confirmed today when had one of these lumps that she then slightly kicked into :P

Hello! I’m currently 36 1/2 weeks pregnant with my first and I’m not sure how to time contractions. Do you start the timer from when you first feel pain and then end the timer when the pain stops? Or start the timer when it ends and let it run until you feel the next one to stop it and to measure the time between each one?

See I knew this was normal I’m 24 weeks and I just had an appointment and they said oh no that’s not good have plenty of rest and if they continue go to the hospital so they can stop them and I’m so confused cuz in all my pregnancy apps it says after 20 you’ll feel them.

Possible to have very consistent Braxton hicks? I basically met the 5-1-1 rule a few days ago (I’m 39 weeks) but just felt my stomach getting rock hard. Uncomfortable but not painful. I haven’t timed again since then but have lots and lots of these contractions. Not getting more intense. So I guess it’s BH but didn’t realize you could have so many and such consistent BH?

Hey guys, love all the information I been obtaining from the videos. Super informative.
I’m 37 weeks and I been having cramping for 2 days, it’s my second child, yet I didn’t experience this. You guys think it’s labor or Braxton hicks. They aren’t 5 minutes apart and mild pain. I also have a lot of pressure down there. Thank you

So I'm currently 37 weeks and 6d, I work in a laboratory which is a very physical job I work with blood. I'm petite very( before prego, 5'3, 98lbs bn thin all my life) I wake up at 5: 00am, walk two blocks downhill, get on transit, walk about three blocks to work, work from 7-3pm on my feet,go home wlk the same distance. Yesterday my mucus plug fell out I'm still at work working lifting totes full of blood, I'm exhausted I know you can't give out medical advice when is the earliest you think someone should go on maternity leave especially with my schedule very active. The weight of the baby is very heavy on me I have varicose veins really bad I'm currently 110 so I didn't gain much but the baby is huge I'm measuring up

Hi I would like more also about something called back labor. I have had two pregnancy’s and both I had back labor. My second delivery they placed the belt contraction monitor on my belly and they said they were not picking up many contractions, but I sure did feel a lot more of what they said their monitor show so once they checked my dilation I was at 7cm as soon as i arrived to the hospital my delivery was so fast, I had both my babies without epidural. But what do I need to know about back labor and future delivery, what are good things I should mention or ask my OB/GYN
Love all the information you both provide!!!!
