Another great video. Well done guys 👏
ОтветитьGreat video .My question is did you ask his daughter if she is keeping any bikes . Her dads favorite or top x3 favorites? I cant wait for the auction!
ОтветитьI really enjoyed the video.
ОтветитьMet Tony a few years ago sad to hear that he passed away, we turned up when the museum was closed but no problem Tony showed us around and when he asked where we came from having a bike with a Dutch plate! The Netherlands I said. But originally Guildford in Surrey he was made up also coming from Guildford. my wife and I Spent a lovely afternoon with him chatting bikes and about Guildford. A great loss for the isle and classic bikes.
ОтветитьWhat an amazing collection. I know the market on the british stuff is a little down right now but those estimates seem really low. If those numbers are correct, there will be plenty of good deals to be had. I hope we'll be able to look at and see what these bikes went for. Im guessing most will go for above the estimate.
Ответитьsadly a great man gone ARE . All of us in the club miss him RIP TONY .
ОтветитьThat's a date for the diary!
ОтветитьThis channel gets better by the week , top job guys.
ОтветитьOh Bless
ОтветитьVery sad day for the Island, I always visited the museum when I went to the Manx or the TT. Beautifully presented bikes.
Ответитьi cannot believe how cheap those bikes are. You can get an 80yo classic triumph for the price of a mid-range bike
ОтветитьThose bikes are one of a kind, no way can a person restore a motorcycle for the auction estimates. Low ball estimates, perhaps? I personally like about 10 or 11 bikes that I would love to have!
ОтветитьBrilliant video as always guys! What a collection lovely to see, what a great job Tony did..have you got your eye on any John😉👍
ОтветитьBritish Perfection!
RIP
memory lane for me ,......superb
ОтветитьAbsolutely beautiful! If only I could buy a few of them but its not to be. On the other hand, if anyone wanted to make a spontaneous donation, I'd happily pay the postage or send an SAE for the Red Hunter or the AJS Model 20☺.
ОтветитьI wonder if Sammy Miller has interest in any of these.
ОтветитьROAD LEGEND
ОтветитьIs that a 4 cylinder air cooled 700cc Leader at 19.39 time on this video?
ОтветитьAbsolutely brilliant! Although quite sad that Isle Of Man won't be home this collection anymore.
ОтветитьI would imagine that Jay Leno will show up for this auction!!
ОтветитьAs an 79 year old who now rides a Jap scooter , dont knock it , never knew Velocette made a scooter , 12 .26. Im sure it will go well above the estimate here.
ОтветитьThe 6S is beautiful! My wife is pleased we don't live in the UK.
ОтветитьPhenomenal! 👍👌👏 RIP Tony😢
ОтветитьI think there was actually a court case between Honda and Moto Guzzi regarding the Galletto's single sided swinging arm.. I believe that Honda claimed to have invented the single-sided swinging arm and took Moto Guzzi to court for using one on one of their bikes.. Moto Guzzi actually wheeled a Galletto into the court as evidence to prove Honda were not the first manufacturer to make one !..
ОтветитьWhat a beautiful video. I’ve always been a fan of the sun beam. Wish I could be there.
ОтветитьAn amazing collection and great video.
However, if there’s one thing guaranteed to raise my hackles it’s the term ‘this bike/car presents very well’ that all the top auction houses use, it tells you nothing and for me is always a red flag.
Also what isn’t spoken about when guide prices are mentioned is buyers premium. Bonhams charge 15% plus vat.
That’s an additional £900 extra on a winning bid of £3000!.
And then unless you can move your purchase immediately you have to pay storage or delivery.
Auctions aren’t the bargain houses they used to be and guide prices are very misleading.

Ответитьodd. I always used to go to see Tony and the collection as part of my Manx GP holiday. But in the end I was more interested in the bikes in the car park than the collection! Maybe 10 years ago I would be interested in buying a bike from the collection. But now - not interested at all!! What has happened to me? my small collection of old brits satisfies my pleasure in the riding experiences. I hope some of the bikes get ridden after they are sold.
ОтветитьThat’s the rub with a BSA Bantam. You would never ever get your money back from a restoration so you would never buy a project when there a fully done ones available so inexpensively.
ОтветитьFantastic collection with some very reasonable estimates. It will be interesting to see the realized prices at the auction. Thanks for sharing this with us.
Ответитьcheaper than i thought would luv to bid for a norton
ОтветитьWish I'd made it to the museum before it closed - was on the list! Looks like the bubble has burst on classic bike values so not the best time to sell but maybe a good time to buy the bike you always wanted?! 😪🤔
ОтветитьSad to see a lovely museum go , hope the bikes go to enthusiasts
Didn’t see any Manx’s for auction or some of the more sporty and racy machines he had !
That was great! Hope you guys are gonna do a pre-auction review for the upcoming Bonhams Stafford Spring Sale 🤞🏼😃 there’s some amazing machinery going under the hammer..
ОтветитьI only just found out about Tony east,s passing i was a good friend with Tony . as we would both trade at country wide at bike shows in the uk. a TRUE GENT. and miss he,s persona R.IP Tony
