WHAT A LEGEND FOR MAKING THESE VIDEOS❤
ОтветитьThanks good job
ОтветитьFYI, those constant tension hose Clamps are called "corbin" clips. They're a bit hard to find the larger they are, but you can find some.
ОтветитьI'm about to do this on a 2007 bmw e60 525i. My son asked me why the heater wasn't working during his ride to school. I didn't realize there was an issue since I hadn't driven it much. 😳
ОтветитьI’m leaking radiation fluid a I saw that there’s some on my HVAC hi side line … Is that a bad heatercore ?
Ответитьnice mate, but isnt ideal to clean whole sistem of radiator?
ОтветитьHow much coolant you loose when opening heater core and flushing them
Do we need to top-up or completely change coolant??
Here's a question Chris. Could a bad or blocked up heating core cause a 4x4 diesel ute to over heat? Tried almost every replacement except a head to fix my ute over heating. I personally don't think it's a blown or cracked head. But, I do know my cab heat does not come on until the engine is basically starting to overheat.. cheers mate :)
ОтветитьThanks man, this video was very helpful. I flushed the heating core of a 20yo Echo ... The amount of gunk man... And the heating now, wow what a difference.
Thanks again for your channel.
This is sisyphus work. Systam has 11l fluid and you flush only 0.5l
ОтветитьThanks so much for your video. It totally helped me ID and fix the problem. HOWEVER, All I did was disconnect the hoses at the firewall and feed my garden hose into the inlet valve then turn the hose on just under medium, then I flushed it through the outlet. I reconnected the heater hoses and just topped up the radiator. Job done. No need for the additional adapters, etc. The tools I used were long-nose plyers, large flat head, garden hose. Again, thanks for your video, just thought I'd share my experience to help others. I was working on an 02 Nissan Xtrail.
ОтветитьCame here to refresh myself and get a equipment list !!!
ОтветитьOkay so is the one that is inlet the one that should be hot and the one that outlet is suppose to be cooler right? Or do I have that backwards. And also is there a easy way to remove the hose cause I'm like literally pulling on them and can't get them off. And yes I removed clips/wtf clamps holding the lines on.
ОтветитьWhat are those two toggle switches beneath the climate controls?
ОтветитьMy a/c is not blowing cold air. I was told I need a new heater core. Is this true?
ОтветитьBrilliant video with clear instructions.
ОтветитьBro ✊🙏💯
ОтветитьDo I still need to or bleed the cooling system?
ОтветитьCan a bad heater core cause white smoke to come from vents??
ОтветитьWould it be a correct assumption that if heater core is clogged that then bleeding the cooling system doesn’t work?
I’m currently getting an overheat condition in South Florida I removed thermostat new clutch fan, new radiator, and the thing continues to overheat above the middle line no matter how many times I bleed the cooling system following the factory procedure …….. The more I accelerate, the more the wind cools the car down then the level cools back down to operating temperature.
I'd imagine that this process would ne the same for the vast majority of vehicles? I have a 4.6 Liter V8 Grand Marquis
ОтветитьThis was well done and explained very clearly. nice job!
ОтветитьI want to setup a heater core flush, but for purposes of running a "stop leak" treatment. I really don't want or need it to go through the radiator. Can you suggest a pump that would give me same psi as car motor?
ОтветитьHi Chris, I had coolant odor inside cabin last year but still heat but now no heat so my heater core look like to be clogged and had a mini leak prior to clog. Do you suggest unclogging with water like you showed us and then adding ''radiator stop leak aluminum'' in loop using water with a pump to try to repair the leak? With this option I would not send the liquid aluminum everywhere in the cooling system.?
ОтветитьCan I do this on my 2019 Altima 2.5 naturally aspirated?
ОтветитьThanks for taking the time to produce & share this vid' .
Will probably follow this tutoring ;-)
....... for both the '82F-100 3.8L v6 M3oT (which coincidentally blew a freeze plug recently.... first time experienced in fifty yrs. driving )
& the '96SierraSLE K15005.7L (more recently noticed recovery reservoir in/outlet plugged and fd. while cleaning it out it had accumulated too much rislone sludge, so to confirm the heater core is not slightly plugged, which maybe reason saw some leakage out of the rubber elbow next to the hose which reportedly is a sign of 'core problems, ....)
stay blessd chris
ОтветитьIs this possible on a 2018 Ford F-750?
Ответить9 years later, I need this video. No heat, Winter is coming. I noticed a reduction of temperature, gradually, until no heat at all. Will try this exact method first.
ОтветитьGreat video! Thanks Mate!!!
Ответить@ChrixFix. Thankyou man.
Parts are very cheap to do this.
I paused wrote down part numbers.
Blue adapter is 4.99 at parts store.
Am going post pics parts I used tag you also.
One thing I bought is TWO way shutoff adapter valve.
So I run garden hose into my garage.
Without running back an forth to the house👍
Hi, Chris, Appreciate all the amazing video you have created. I am an international student new in another country. Learning to maintain viechle all by myself. You helped me so much. One question here, why don't we use this 2 hose method to flush the whole coolant system? or at least use this for the first 2 round of flush, and then distilled water? or just pressured distilled water through a filter before recycle it in? And then pure distilled water flush and then coolant. I am really tempted of doing so for the convenience of less manual work. Let me know how bad my idea is.
Thank you again for all these great quality content.
Cheers
Henry
Holy cow it worked. Thank you so much. Did this on my ford f150 2020 after the heat went out. Same fittings except you dont need the garden hose adapter just get the brass fitting with a female end instead of the male. Also just pouring the coolant through the hose after to flush the water didnt provide enough pressure so i had to blow into the hose after pouring a but of coolant in each time
ОтветитьSi compro manguera de 5/8 me valdria también para el radiador de calefacción de mi coche, para realizar la misma limpieza que hiciste tu ¿sabes si suelen tener esa medida de manguera todos los radiadores de calefacción?
ОтветитьWonderful, thank you!
ОтветитьHate this time of the year maintenance, doing early this time around Oct!😎
ОтветитьWatched this video several years ago and it definitely works! I'm about to do my second heater core flush over the lifetime of my '99 Jeep XJ. Heater core is going to get replaced eventually, but until then, this is a really easy way to extend the life of a clogged core.
ОтветитьGreat info as always ChrisFix. How do I distinguish inlet heater core from heater core outlet?
ОтветитьHey can you help out how to fix the rear heat on a 2002 dodge durango blowing cold air just fixed the blend doors and still nothing can we flush the rear heater core or PLEASE HELP
ОтветитьI will try it. Thank you sir
ОтветитьSo I had a lot of coolant leak from my 2008 Toyota tundra… didn’t get to flush it. Can I just add coolant to the coolant reservoir?
Ответитьi have tried to flush it from both hoses but there seems to be a clog. i put clr cleaner on one side and let it sit to try and break through but no budge. any thoughts as to what i can do to get through this block.
ОтветитьDid my 08 Ram today and shes blowing HOT HOT HOTTTT!!! Thanks Chris!
ОтветитьPrestone Back Flushing kits work great! You're flushing your radiator, engine block, hoses, heater core. The entire system.
ОтветитьI cannot see these 2 hoses on my 08 merc milan for anything against my firewall . Where could they be ? Under eyesight , where my hands and h I se cant get ?
ОтветитьAwsome thanks. Can I use Mountain Dew instead of antifreeze?
ОтветитьThis is the second year my heater core has to be flushed in my 2010 Ford explorer. This is becoming a problem?
