“Sprint Feel” is a real thing and something we work on intensively in all of my Running Mechanics Professional course experiences. You need to practice sprinting with drills, max efforts, sub-max efforts, resistance and sometimes make mistakes. As Bruce Lee’s character in Enter the Dragon once said, “Don’t think… Feel…"

This is an excerpt from a demonstration at our recent New York City RMP Level 1 Foundations and Level 2 MED courses at 'Reload Physical Therapy and Fitness' where we spent time working on drills, accelerations and max velocity runs on the non-motorized curved treadmills. All of the 45 attendees fully participated in our practical demonstrations so that they could get a feel for the drills, sprints and tempo runs. Now they have a good idea of what to expect when coaching and instructing others.

If you are a coach, strength and conditioning specialist, fitness trainer or physical therapist, you need to go out and put in some work. The experience will give you a better understanding of “feel” and how to coach others and relate the information in a more sincere and efficient manner.
