Interesting thought...when Joe mentioned about her being "willfull" as a child I had the thought..hm..so essentially, 'beating the will out of me.' Which really leaves me with the feeling of me thinking I can't 'make' a move on my ambition because thats driven by my will, and because essentially, I'm not allowed. But if I'm not allowed to have ambition, motivation, will, then I won't be doing anything, which makes me then feel and be seen as lazy, and I've learned thats not good either.

So the issue isnt as much that I don't want to be seen as lazy, the core issue is do I recognize the same way my parents destroyed my will, I'm doing the same to myself? Which makes me feel like even if I want to do something or when I try, I just stop because I feel that I can't or shouldn't be acting on it...and the cycle continues.

So that thought trail lead me to seeing how much procrastinating is really me being uncomfortable with my own natural ambition, my own natural willpower, and my own emotional desire to do what I want and let that be SEEN! THIS was a huge breakthrough for me right here!!

Hopefully it can help someone else in realizing just because our parents or someone was uncomfortable with our willpower, doesn't mean we need to continue to be uncomfortable with it within ourselves as adults, we dont have to continue that story because this is OUR life. We are allowed to feel empowered to express ourselves in each moment just as we are, and we are allowed to go for our dreams exactly as we really are while doing it! I just feel like that is opening up something in me big time!! And it feels good!!!🤯 Thank you Joe!🥳🤩

Omgoodness! I feel so connected to her. It was almost scary. The depression is repression. Is the first time I heard someone explain what my depression felt like. And i wish her the best of luck. She is truly magnetic. Took a ton of re-frames for me to exit my depression so I hope she gives herself grace and time. You can break the chains but its not cinematic its day by day.

Very strong episode - hit the nail on the head with this "I should be more productive". Such thoughts only make me more stressed, and in the end nothing gets done. Now I try not to rush myself, but just turn on Meowdoro and do it in small pieces - without pressure, but with movement. And how do you switch from this mode of eternal self-criticism to real action?

Great session. I know with my cluents, addressing the 5 major emotions of Anger, Sadness, Fear, Hurt and Guilt in NLP moves mountains of stuckness and even trauma.🙌

I've got a friend just like her, she so often has her "I must do this and that" pants on, then she's a bit harsh, like bossy sometimes, and then she has those rare moments of "sit back and just be here", and then that incredible sweetness breaths out of her, so feminine and lovely.

I’m absolutely gobsmacked. Not only did my mother not appreciate me being “spunky” (still doesn’t), but I’ve always been attracted to people who also try to control that. I wasn’t aware of this at the time, of course, but I’ve been single for nearly 15 years because I knew that there was something I didn’t clearly see. I see it now. It’s a solo mission, but I’m glad to have those blinders off because I’m tired of restraining myself. Single and free me is so much better for my mental health. Thank you! ✌️

It's really something how my setup is different from hers but listening to this and feeling my own feelings and going through my own awareness about my feelings has helped me shift a lot in just these few 18 minutes of this video. Her thing was anger, My emotion is hurt. I don't give myself a lot of permission to feel hurt for very long and I'll try to repress it or distract myself to do something else. I'll cover it up with irritation or anger but it's not the irritation anger I feeling hurt or scared that had me feeling unsafe. The funny thing is allowing myself to fully feel it guess what happens now I feel at peace. That is so weird.

I should be on his stream, because I feel I have far stronger rebuttals and explanations then the people he’s talking to. I’m not saying he wouldn’t have an even better response to me, but it’s frustrating for me to hear someone not have a good or any answer to what he says.


For instance, this idea about not having a purpose in life meaning you can do whatever you want? If you don’t have a purpose, there’s nothing for you to do. There is nothing you want to do. He says he would pick purposelessness all the time, using the example of if he had to choose between driving somewhere specific or driving somewhere aimlessly. But I’m sure as a doctor, he has the money to afford being able to do that. I can barely afford to give myself any vacation time. Why the hell would I drive around aimlessly, wasting gas? Even with my hybrid car, I would still be using some gas. It’s bad for the environment, I am adding needless wear and tear on my car. And if you don’t have a purpose in life, that’s vastly different than not having a purpose of where to drive. Without a purpose in life, what kind of job can you get? If you can’t get a job, you can’t afford to live. It’s totally different than aimlessly driving around.

And this whole video started with the statement about getting where you need to go when you’re already there? Already WHERE? We feel purposeless. That’s our meaning in life? To feel purposeless and this have no noals nothing to do or to look forward to??
