My builder didnt use any conduit going thru the studs like that. Just the wire itself.
ОтветитьWouldn't be be more flexible in walls opposed to pipe which doesn't make sense
ОтветитьI use compression fitting...I don't like to dent the conduit with the connector screw...my personal taste .
ОтветитьBuddy what is this, your only running half inch. This is not how to bend pipe.
ОтветитьThis is video on how to install boxes lol
ОтветитьYou don’t know why it’s called a 1900 box…omg
ОтветитьWhy all metal???
ОтветитьWhat’s up with this guy. Where’s ur level bro
ОтветитьPlease explain why the conduit is necessary? Cause its a shed, not a house, and they're expecting equipment or whatever in it so it's to prevent damage? Or does your local jurisdiction just want to cost people more money so they require steel boxes and conduits?
ОтветитьSo how do you get through a corner with EMT? That's what i was looking for.
ОтветитьI am learning how to add an extra power outlet in my garage as I only have two on two walls but need one on the third. This video was helpful. thank you.
ОтветитьMan your rock and youre amazing
ОтветитьWhere in the code does it say you need to use certain screws to Mount the box to the stud ? Never heard that before . Interesting
ОтветитьLove it love how you taught ❤ thank you sir
ОтветитьI just stress enough that this not the way to wire a shed …I am not in USA so I don’t follow the NEC but my code is very similar and the number of defects I would receive for doing this way is unbelievable….
ОтветитьWell it's obvious why he's no longer an electrician
Hard piping those lighting drivers is a big nono.
If they burn out (theyre cheap), how do you replace them? Look up the rules, there's likely allowances for small whips, or get similar fixtures thatll go in an octagon box
"Lots of inspections" no vapor barriers around the boxes
Great jobs and sharing valuable information of how to set up electrical metallic tubing and how to measure and bending ! Thank you so much..
ОтветитьWhat’s the code requirement for pipe clips. How far from an electrical junction box does a pipe clip need to be used? Are studs considered pipe clips?
Ответитьwould be interesting to also see how you run it around a corner
ОтветитьWhy not use pvc pipe
ОтветитьDo you need plastic bushings on the inside of the conduit connectors before you run the wire. I know I wired up a 100 amp service panel for a house trailer and the inspector failed it for no bushing on the end of the conduit but this was threaded conduit.
ОтветитьThose big holes through the studs are very concerning id stick with 3\4
ОтветитьBob- I am a carpenter, contractor and home inspector. I learned a lot of little trick from you
Nice job explaining.
I like this guy. I think he's cool. All the electricians chiming in with their tips, that's great but all the criticisms? Go f*** yourself. He gave sound advice to someone that's never picked up a stick of emt or a bender or etc. It's amazing you get one person saying, "If you want to install 500' a day you need to do this..." The the next bum chimes in with, "If I did 500' a day I'd be sent back to the hall." Congratulations you win the internet today. You obviously missed the part where he's wiring a shed. Not an entire housing tract or high rise condominiums. He's not going to need Tommy John surgery for using a hack saw. So take your band saws and mini circular saws and stick them up your tail pipes. Nobody cares how many years you pulled wire.
ОтветитьI want to get into this. Im tired of doing nothing in my life. I wanna feel accomplished and do work that makes me feel good that I or we did this. On monday im going to a school for electrical work. Im gonna make a difference in my life. I want change..
ОтветитьMeasure twice, cut once 👍
ОтветитьI wonder why they don’t allow pre-wired BX cable? Rigid conduit is entirely too labor intensive and expensive‼️ This electrical job will cost more than the entire shed🤣
Ответитьphenomenal video
ОтветитьI have to say that it was difficult watching this video since the editing is horrible! Zooming, finding focus, cutting out shots, trying to follow you around, more zooming! Really?
I had to quit the video, you have some good points but I couldn't continue...
love it!
ОтветитьWhy don’t you use romex or mc cable?
ОтветитьI didn't think we taught you to pipe out the side of a switch box
ОтветитьThis is entertaining
ОтветитьI wonder where a guy named Bob would learn something like this electrical stuff I think he grew up in it and it was something he's done for a very long time
ОтветитьThose holes feel too big for a 2X4 stud. Isn't 30 percent of the width max code?
Ответить4 square braket box
ОтветитьMarker on bends is crazy
ОтветитьThanks for the vid 🙏
ОтветитьBad ass video brother thank you....
ОтветитьIf I'm running conduit above ground on the side of a home how do you seal up the connectors?
ОтветитьExcellent work! True mastery of the craft
ОтветитьHey bro would you accept me as your apprentice
Ответитьgreat video, Bob! Lots of tips and no fluff.
ОтветитьIn a shop, is conduit required above a certain height?
ОтветитьW vid
ОтветитьHi I am new comer licenced Electrician i try to practice via your video thanks you very much
