ОтветитьI am 72 years old, fall asleep very fast however only sleep between 6 and 6.5 hours per night. Have a nap every afternoon. I dream every night and at nap time. I dont drink alcohol, i take no caffeine after 1200 pm. Over weight by 15 pounds. Have no prescription meds. Walk 3 to 6 km most days, do some gentle strength training 3 times per week. I try everything that is recommended but I would just love to sleep 8 hours every night and not have to nap. The very few times this happens i wake up feeling so much better. Part of my problem is when i wake up at 430, i am happy and excited to start the day. Then by noon i start losing my energy. My husband and I dont have much stress, we are very lucky in our lives. I just wish i could get a better sleep routine. I take magnesium citrate for muscle cramps, but have not tried melatonin. I keep wondering if that might be the missing link for a great sleep for me.

ОтветитьThese are tried and true methods. I sleep in a cool room. My room is dark dark dark. I sleep with very little clothing on just with shorts on. I also sleep with ambient noise playing

ОтветитьI agree with a cool room, a dark room, please no caffeine 4-6 hours before bed, no noise or a noise machine, I think sleeping with your partner can be a good thing, actually I would alternate between sleeping alone and sleeping with your partner, buy blue light blockers so you can look at your phone before bedtime and meditation. Meditation can be done successfully different ways and clear your mind out.

ОтветитьI’ve had trouble sleeping for about 15 years. I finally discovered that I need to take about 300 mg Magnesium Citrate about an house before bed. Some doctors call it the sleep mineral. And I need to get some regular exercise each day (not right before bed).

ОтветитьHaving all tests & trying everything my Dr. prescribed trazodone for me. We realize everyone has a different body system & I really tried low mg but needed more. My health issues are alot & gone through abuse. Thank you for all your videos. Positive listening.

ОтветитьHi Docs, watched you video again. I’ve been doing what you say being in Alaska staying cool and some nice dark months helps. My problem is I dream every night some nights so active I’m more tired when wake then when went to sleep. Just saw a video said eat half frozen banana covered in cinnamon it didn’t look good but what do you think? I like my dreams just would like some be less active.

I don’t drink alcohol or caffeinated drinks, I try to sleep in a cool environment, I use a Cpap machine, I sleep with my dog and she puts up with me moving around so much, and yet I still don’t sleep through the night. 😫😳

My mantra if I wake up in the wee hours is "May I be filled with loving kindness. May I be well. May I be peaceful and at east." I repeat this until I fall asleep which doesn't take long. ОтветитьI am happily married, my husband and i have not shared a bed TO SLEEP for years. Nothing wrong with anything, we just cannot sleep together. Snoring, husband reads deep into the night with light on etc. Just couldn’t carry on with both of us not getting any sleep. Separate rooms FOR SLEEP. Best thing we ever did. Both sleep really well for a good 8 hours. Try it. It’s amazing 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
