Property taxes should not exist and no one should be allowed to own more than one housing unit, housing problem solved.

Dont forget to mention how much it costs just to move into one of these apts. Pet fees, 1st mos rent, last mos rent, security deposit (same cost as 1 mos.rent) & brokers fee (same cost as 1 mos. rent -unlike in other atates where it is significantly less) and 2 brokers fees if one is a referral. the answer is simple: stop voting for damn democrats. the city was horrible, then a republican mayoe + governor took over and completely tranformed the city to an amazing place. safest big city and businesses and people were flocking to nyc. the skyline was transformed because of it (only recently because like you said it takes for ever just for them to start a project). but then bloomberg came and he wasnt horrible, but deblasio destroyed nyc. he single handedly destroyed everything and the city is suffering still because of him. the worst nyc mayor in my lifetime by far, perhaps the worst in the history of the city. adams is awesome compared to delbasio (and that saying alot because adams is not great at all) adams gets alot of hate because of the citys problems but people need to understand that he is working with the disaster deblasio gave him. they set all these new laws that they cant reverse because the council wont work with adams, and they have no problem letting adams take all the heat for it. someone needs to seriously educate nyc residents to the reason for the problems.
