The only authentic Aboriginal light festival of its kind, Parrtjima, organized by Northern Territory Major Events Company, showcases the oldest continuous culture on earth through the newest technology against the ancient MacDonnell Ranges. Visitors experience Aboriginal culture through large-scale light installations, music, workshops, talks and more.

Parrtjima (pronounced par-chee-ma) comes from Arrernte, an Australian Indigenous language. It means to shine a light on something, in both the physical and enlightenment sense.
