Well, I used to find the meaning of the word I didn't know when I encountered any word i didn't know while reading - For Sure!
what more I did was, I used to write it down in a paper and compile those words together.
I figured out that doing that is surely impractical - reading would take a lot lot more time.
So, now I simply look in the dictionary when i stumble on words I dont know.

When I find new words and I don’t know their meaning, I navigate on Google Chrome and look up for synonyms to them.

Synonyms are a great way to acquire vocabulary,.

When I encounter new words I do several things. I complete the sentence I'm reading and try to guess what the word means within the context. Next I take that guess and compare it to several dictionaries and then look for synonyms. Afterwards, I read a few sentences where the word is used and lastly I check out the etymology to assure that if I find a cognate of the word elsewhere then I may have another clue regarding a new word I encounter later with the same cognate.

When I found a new word while I am reading I will look upon the dictionary on the meaning and sometimes the etymology of the word.

I will take the dictionary and search for the meaning and memorize

I usually use the phone dictionary or I use the Internet to find the specific meaning of the word .. and it also concerns to my native language and an English too )) Thank you

Now I have a question Why others learnt new vocabulary because they also thought the same and in this way we became a part of herds of Learning new and fancy words. If someone making something so complex why should we support them joining them too.

I teach context clue word usage in my ELA 10 classes because it is a GMAS tested standard, and it is a necessary skill.

As an embarrassment and out of school-college I sadly have not remembered a different odd/long words but I see how basic words are important just not nerdy words. Also, I finally see how basic sentences form becuz if pple never had invented words then a sentence wouldn't exist. Anyways, I think there's tossups but I think the harder the vocabulary gets it's at to the point where a person is basically a sheldon robot sadly
