Thanks for the tips!
ОтветитьThis was just what I was looking for and totally appreciate you saving me tons of time and trial and error. Thanks!
ОтветитьGot a pile of burl live edges to clean up and nothing was cutting it. Thanks for the tips!
ОтветитьAwesome video! Really appreciate the time you put into this to share!! Exactly what I needed.
ОтветитьHow do u spell nylocks
ОтветитьI've watched about 15 different videos on how to clean up a live edge. This video, by far, was the most helpful. Thank you and I am now subscribed.
ОтветитьThank you so much for this. I'm going to order one now. Totally saved me!
ОтветитьAwesome thanks
ОтветитьHelpful video! How have these held up for you? The amazon reviews are mixed.
ОтветитьThanks for adding some real value (and not taking 30 minutes to convey the info).
Normally I use chisels for the bark, then the Rotex 90 which works really, really well for the smooth flat portions, but not nearly as well for the small intricate features like what you showed. I think the combo of those two approaches would be excellent.
This was HUGELY helpful. Thank you! This method preserved the patina for a very natural finish of the live edge. One note: if you decide to sand-blast w/ glass bead to accentuate the patina coloring, this should be your last step before finishing steps. These nylox brushes will remove the patina if you use them AFTER sand-blasting.
ОтветитьWhere can I find a few of those nylock discs?
ОтветитьGreat tool for the job. Wear safety glasses!!
ОтветитьThank you!!! 👍👍👍
ОтветитьYes! Exactly what I was looking for. Thanks so much. Can't see in the vid, but it's Nyalox for anyone else unsure.
ОтветитьIdk who needs to k ow but a bit of looking and they make really wide versions of this for conditioning tools
ОтветитьNyalox is what he is talking about, nyloks or other spelling. They are sold at Amazon in all sorts of styles and grits.
ОтветитьYou are a life saver. Will soon work on a live edge for the first time and was going through all of the things you showed in my mind. Had no idea what will work best. Well now I know. Thank you a lot!
ОтветитьBrilliant, thanks for this golden info. I was using home made sanding mops for various small projects but now will order a set of these to have. The mops disintegate very quickly
ОтветитьWhat's the difference between these with 6 brushes, vs the continuous circular brush? Anyone know?
ОтветитьThank you, what a life saver. I'm getting one today. Waisted enough time and sand paper! Lol
ОтветитьImpact driver is the key, thank you for that. I was using my drill with the same nylox you have with poor results, especially with some of the slabs I use. I tend to shy away from just a "straight" live edge and like odd bark intrusions for the character. Switching to the impact made a world of difference. Thank you, subscribed.
ОтветитьI've used those thin fiber wheels but haven't tried that wide one yet. Thanks for sharing.
ОтветитьLive Edge was popular in the 1970s, then went out of style for 35-40 years. I'm cutting the live edge off my slab so that it never goes out of style. Just sayin...
ОтветитьI'm about to do my first slab and was wondering how to do this. Very helpful! Thanks for making this video!
ОтветитьThanks for sharing this!
Good luck with everything!
Sandoflex also works
