a couple months late but im gonna give my opinion on this campaign:

some stuff could have been fleshed out more. if this was a spinoff game where they could go deeper instead of just being a dlc it would probably be better

however, i thouroughly enjoyed this campaign, and would personally give it a 7/10 enjoyment

if you want a roguelite i would reccomend roboquest over this though

Assuming Side Order is the Splatoon 3's last single player DLC there needs to be a physical re-release, noramlly I hate when companies do this but it shouldn't have been seperate from the base game to begin with but y'know... greed, best to knock off the live service nonsense going forward. The same goes for 2's Octo Expansion, sounds like good marketing for Switch 2's launch.

I wish i could relive the exitment from when it was about to relese. Great job i love it. Can you put this in s4 as dlc but withmore stuff cuz its great. It could make for a story mode too!😊

Dlc is inaccessible and the game acts like I didn't buy the dlc a year ago. Nintendo took my money and gave nothing in return

The fact that everything is white makes me wish for randomized color ink, not like rainbow but like random single color pellets to paint everything

I must say I’m very disappointed with Side Order compared to Octo Expansion. Side Order is way too easy, on my first try I got to floor 15, my second try floor 20, and my third try had me beat floor 30.

Even the “Rigorous” difficulty option eventually became easy when I got used to the maps

I like the setting, reminds me of the monotone levels of the Nier games.

@NintendoAmerica PLEASE RELEASE A BALANCE UPDATE. its like half the floors are rigorous and I PHISICALY CANOT DO THEM. PLEASE DO SOMETHING TO MAKE THE GAME EVEN JUST A BIT MORE PLAYABLE. I feel like it could really improve with a more personalized difficulty system and less aw shoot guess I lost my floor 30 run FOR THE 15TH TIME IN A ROW. but like seriously the game could benefit with a slightly more personalized game so that ALOT of people can actually beat the game with a brella or really any weapon in general

Has anyone noticed that this is heavily inspired by hades? If you dont understand, stuff like extra lives being interestingly similar to death defiances in hades and PRLZ are basically darkness if you have ever played hades. The weapon unlock system is the exact same, unlocking weapons (color pallets or whatever) with keys or other things you get by beating bosses with different weapons. The chips are boons, and the idea of picking your room also seems inspired. And also, just like hades, when you beat the game, you keep trying over and over, still progressing with the story. Just saying!
