It’s been a year and a half and he’s finally out of his shell at home. He’s still afraid of the world outside of these walls❤

Thank goodness for fosters. I was a foster fail mom and kept my foster dog. Never fostered again because I know I’ll keep them all so I’m so grateful for those who foster and save more pets.

I had a Kiki. She died last August at 18. Tiki reminds me of her. So glad for the dog lovers, saviors and supporters. I 🙏 TiKi gets the home and love deserved.🙏🌹🇺🇸🐕

This is such a wonderful story! Isabel is an amazing woman and is so perfect to be a foster. I do wish when journalists do stories like this that they would talk about why there are dogs like Tiki. Site some numbers about how many dogs are put down every year because rescues and shelters can’t handle the amount of discarded and abused pets.

To be a good foster means you go into it knowing that you'll have to send them on to their forever homes. Being able to love an animal back into joy and then let them go on to another home is a rare gift. But in the back of your mind, you have to tell yourself that you have another dog that needs you and you're not saying good-bye, you're just making room.

This sounds like my dog who just passed at 17. I adopted her when she was three. There had been a raid and rescue of a back yard breeder by authorities. They were going to put this dog down saying she was damaged goods. I took her home. My friend was a massage therapist and I a Reiki practitioner. You had to toss a childs nap blanket over her in the beginning to even pick her up. Swaddle her like a baby and massage her and pet her gently. We worked on her nervous system and within a few weeks she transformed. At 66 years of age I have always been a pet magnet and always had pets. To hear from pet owners after helping their newly adopted dogs settle and trust is so joyful for me. Blessings to this woman for the work she does. ❤👏🏼🐾

I take my hat off to her. I could not put in the work, knowing what this poor pup has experienced, to turn them over to someone who might return him to worse than where he started.

What a truly beautiful woman to help so many precious dogs in desperate need.
