Great piece with Dr. Klug! 👏
Let him know that one of my Granmas', who was born in Detroit 1918, told me about it and what happened on Woodward, and also Paradise Valley 1943.
Thank you ~

My grandfather told me about it long ago and he said it was horrible especially for black folks and that no one should have to go through this ever.

That was just one the one in the 60s a different breed of black's, but as we no history always repeats itself, only thing now instead of back then these young people are more ruthless and feel they have nothing to live for,

There was also a Riot in 1863, around the Civil War. Racial Tensions even then.

Not much of a historian if he couldn't explain the details that led up to the riots. Of course, it was a racial conflict but what was the specific cause? The good professor would be given an "F" in my history class for lack of details. As far as the interviewers, they should have asked for specifics surrounding the cause of the riots. Then again this is the state of journalism today so we cannot expect much from institutions of media and academia.

From the little information that is available from the 1943 'Riot", it seems more like it was a pogrom that Whites inflicted on the Blacks.

And to think, in 1943, my great granny (born 1919) was pregnant with my granny, who would be entering the world (February 1944)... And this was going on...
Man, I used to ask both of them about the riots, but I wasn't told about this one... 🥺🥺🥺🫣🫣🫣
