What does ‘written for the white boys’ even mean🤷♀️ enjoyed your cosy reading night 😊
ОтветитьLoved this, especially the written for white boys comment 😂 I'm really excited for the new Ali Smith as well as the RF Kuang and VE Schwab.
ОтветитьHi Lauren
I use Fantastic Fiction to find out about the New Releases. Also I go on the Toronto Canada Public Library to see what they have for New Releases.
These are my two favorite ways to see New Releases.
I just love the Toronto Canada Public Library Website - they show the pictures of the New Releases that they got - they tell how many holds each book has and how many copies they have of that book.
Take Care & Happy Reading
❤️🤗🔰📚📖💙
I'm getting ready to listen to Miranda Hearts new book. I can't wait to hear her journey through the last 10 years.
ОтветитьThe Walliams sigh 😂
ОтветитьThe only author I had heard of was Katherine Rundell cause I have a copy of the The Golden Mole here ... I often buy books that I see suggested on the sites of bookshops I like ... Hatchards, John Sandoe and Daunt Books who periodically send me a list of suggested titles ... I do not care what the covers look like.
ОтветитьSome great releases coming up Lauren thanks for sharing.
ОтветитьAs the momma of a trans son I can't tell you how much I appreciate you caring about these things. ❤️
ОтветитьLauren, I love that the books you talk about are normally already available and we can read them too. (Even the ones I have never heard of before.) I feel quite put off by booktubers I normally like always talking about proof copies and books not out for months and months. Feels all a bit corporate or sponsored when I see this. Love that you are a reader who follows your passions and not what the industry would like you to promote. 💙
ОтветитьMy Dahl loving child read parts of two Walliams books before he moved on to other books. Hilariously silly kids' novels that aren't graphic novels are harder to find than they should be.
I really like the books you normally talk about because as Im in the US and sometimes UK titles take forever to become available here.
P.s. so glad the algorithm sent me here from the All about Archers pod.
Loved this video Lauren❤
ОтветитьSorry but hated the Pumpkin spiced cafe.
ОтветитьHi Lauren, just recently got back into reading, it goes in peaks and troughs with me. If you could do a video on how to get back into reading, genres to explore and tips and tricks - that’d be great. Thanks!
Ps I use audio books hopefully audiobooks count as reading, as can’t read print anymore.😥 miss the smells of a new book and exploring libraries. Can anyone relate?
Almost fell off the bed with that Cher memoir!! Thank you so much for this video!! Also took a screenshot of Al Pacino’s memoir to keep my eye out for.
ОтветитьI'm excited for the new Murakami 😊
If you can get the audiobook of On Earth We're Breifly Gorgeous by Oceon Voung, it's worth a listen, he narrates it and his voice ans writing are so poetic
Went to a Susanna Clarke event on Tuesday where she read part of the new book and I think itll be as good as you hope! Its from the world of her book Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell.
ОтветитьI don't like Walliams either. I don't trust his smile, he isn't genuine.
ОтветитьHow did i not know this about John Boyne, I've totally missed this 🫣
ОтветитьI'm looking forward to the new Laurie Gilmore. I've read her first 2 and have the xmas one lined up! I found the 2nd one way better than the 1st so I hope that continues!
ОтветитьI hope I am still BookTubing in 10 years!
Ответитьthe wood at midwinter sounds lovely
