Hello. I had the opportunity to play original Marshall Drivemaster. It is a good pedal, strange it was not much popular back then.

I bought my Shredmaster around '95/96, it went through my VS100. I used to max out the gain channel and the Shredmaster and got what I thought was an amazing sound, it probably sounds like crap now but as I still have both, I might dig them out and have a play! I do remember as I calmed down I managed to get some real nice tones with it, especially when I bought a TSL601.

Shredmaster is still great, the only issue is that pots gets scratchy👍🏻

It's huge and ugly enclosure takes tooo much space on my pedalboard..I still prefer the Morning Glory. Improve quality tone than the Bluesbreaker.

i have the original shredmaster and its one of the most natural sounding crunchy distortion pedal i have ever owned, but they have their age related issues and a new compareable remake is something i was always waiting for, i will order that asap and make a direct comparison, thanks guys 👍🎸🙏

I have an original guvnor still in use on my board. I bought it to get a better sound out the cheap transitor amp I then had. Now I might add the bluesbreaker...

Hopefully the reissue Guv’n’or isn’t as crazy noisy as my original was.

I feel like the shredmaster is such an underrated pedal

I had a shredmaster and sold it, I'm sorry I did that... now I want to get at least the governor and the drivemaster.....

And THAT'S how you do a reissue. Synthmakers - make notes. No new fancy shmancy BS, no "reimagined classic", no refreshed version with some digital additions - just the old thing. Bravo Marshall!

Is the volume still low on the reissue BluesBreaker like it was on the original?

Originally I was disappointed by the BB1 because it didn't sound anything like ECs Beano tone, later I came to terms with it being a great drive for Strats and a great first drive when stacking.

The EFX loop on the Guv'nor would be a smart place to add a noise gate 😉

have a '91 <10k serial number shred master. still chugging to this day.

I couldn't hear a difference when the Guv'nor went off and the BluesBreaker came on. Both sounded great and the same.

I have an original guvnor I could probably part with hmmm.
